666 vs 666 vs 666 yet the facilities feel smaller than Battlefield/COD Maps....What a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

    Here is where Ps2 amazing Infantry battles take place.

    Most of the time in biodome,towers,etc....Is basically a stalemate revolving a door or opening.


    The Amazingly designed Facilities/Towers in Planetside designed for 100 vs 100 players....lol

    Here is the problem...Even tho Call of Duty and Battlefield 3 hold way less players...Their maps actually fit the type of players they have.

    Planetside 2 on the other hand....Facilities feel as small as Battlefield 3 maps or even smaller...Hell Towers feel as small as COD maps.

    What this creates is battle revolving around doorways....Thus infantry battles for the most part are just crappy stalemates.



    Now I admit the land mass is huge...But lets be honest, the lack of cover usually means vehicles are dominating the land scape while infantry fight in towers/facilities thus.....I am comparing facilities/tower sizes to COD/battlefield 3 map sizes.

    BTW I think Planetside 2 is a great game and way better than COD/Battlefield......But this is the big flaw in the game.

    What we need to fix this problem is bigger facilites/towers, designed to actually fit that many players!!!!

    We had a giant *********** of all three factions at Tawrich once, you'd be surprised how many people fit in that area (and vehicles were useless because AT mines, point blank rocket launchers and whatnot).

    I remember the days of TawRich back when we had the north warpgate on Mattherson. **** the Crown, we just pushed past it and held TawRich for days straight.

    Today we had one at Sungrey Amp (Amerish) between the VS and TR, NC pushed us to our gates while the VS kept dropping in tonnes of troops with Galaxies and the TR did their best to hold on.

    Well Im sure many people can fit everywhere....but is the quality of the battles.

    No doubt a tower can hold 300 people perhaps but they will all be way too crowded stalemating......

    I seen huge battles too but is just a huge stalemate.....

    Is obvious the facilities are way too small for the amount of players, playing.

    Stalemates are good when it comes to the last place you must hold before you get wiped out.


    Planetside 2 facilities/tower designs however are all revolved around stalemates.....Huge reason for that is because their isn't cover outside the facilities....So facilities is where infantry only clash for the most part and since the facilities are way too small...You are stalemating right away.

    This really sucks for infantry like me who infantry full time...Stalemates are fun once in a while but after a while they get boring.

    Not to mention the fact that making facilities designed for more people= more tactics involved...With actual flanking from defending/attacking teams instead of

    a doorway.

    You clearly are a zergplayer, i often have infantry fights in the landscape often supporting armor when going from point to point, and i love the welcome mix between those fights and the right in your face battles. Nah the game aint the problem its your playstyle.

    I'm in an outfit that focusses on infantry combat most of the time, but sometimes you have to get out of the facilities and then we use transports with some escorts (e.g. Sunderer defended by a Prowler or 2).
    Size of the facilities is fine and allows for fantastic battles, we don't really need bigger facilities and I really fail to see your complaint.

    There should still be room for vehicles in a combined arms game.

    Some larger facilities would be great, but increasing the amount and complexity of cover around the bases and on the land mass would also achieve something along the same lines.

    I would like to see more general ground cover/unique objects and non capture "out buildings" around the cont maps, before larger facilities.

    You really think rushing doorways...Pushing and Pushing with a zerg, like it usually is...Is a fantastic battle?

    I had good battles, dont get me wrong but fighting around doorways gets old way too fast.


    As for vehicles having room....Yeah I love that they have room but infantry needs cover to actually fight on the huge maps, not just facilities.

    Sorry but it will just be more fun/add more complexity if cover was around outside facilities so Infantry could fight easier against vehicle/other infantry.

    Putting more cover wouldn't take away room for vehicles, INDAR is huge.....vehicles will still be needed.

    Also numbers don't do everything.
    There are players who can push trough that door off you even if there outnumbered by half, but that clearly is not you.
    Rest my case bad threath and bad player.

    I dont spawn camp.

    This is how the game is designed....You got to bio dome for example.

    You either have a stalemate in the airpads or in the small teleporter room with shields...until you push out then the stalemates moves on and on.

    I played this game since August, they usually are just stalesmates in the game.....sometimes their fun and sometimes you get some unique situtations...most of the time however, same o stalemate.

    Look at players pushing a door when outnumbered by half...lol.....most likely is suicide but keep leaving in your fantasy world.

    As for my Stats, Im pretty good dude

    way better than your stats.

    I have heard of them sir....Not everybody is waiting around the doorway however....Same goes for the concussion grenade.

    Good tactics however, but it doesn't really solve the stalemates like you want it to sound.

    Stats mean something.
