I'm really starting to get tired of this crap. I have several crashes every day and most of the time the client just shuts down without any notice whatsoever. Other times i get a Windows popup stating the obvious that the client has crashed and at some occasions i get G99. I have a new computer, 8 months old which works like a charm on Ultra settings... when it is working that is. How about an automatic error logging system so i can paste whatever is wrong into the forums? The really awful thing about the crashes is that they always occur at the worst possible time and that you loose everything you have at the moment, like a spawned Sunderer. Can't you guys get the system to remember what was spawned and where you were at when the crash happened? I would suggest uninstalling physx as that seems to be the main culprit for crashes that i have seen. It seems planetside 2 does not play well with it despite this game supposedly being nvidia friendly. Worth a shot. And you can see your error logs under administrator tools in control pannel under event manager.
Right thanks... turning off PhysX partially helped. I don't have more than one or two crashes now but at times the game freezes, like it's going to crash, after which i need to open a in-menu for the frozen image to go away. Weird indeed.
I crash about every 2-3hours will the basically the same system, I crash slightly more frequently with physx enabled. I think ultra textures cause crashes too but I don't like turning textures from ultra to high. I sometimes crash also when deploying too. I never use to crash with my older radeon 6950 but I also didnt run ultra textures before so idk if its nvidia causing the crashes or the ultra textures. I hope these problems are fixed with the optimization patch.
