24 hours after the merge, what were your first impressions?

The NC helped us tie up the biolab alert today. They actually asked me where I needed them the most to hold off the TR who outpopped us 2-1.

That was alarming.

I can safely say that the last two days have lead to some of the most unenjoyable gaming sessions that I've ever had with this game.

It's almost like Mattherson players are genuinely afraid to play infantry.

Don't worry man. Just another armchair general who wants to bash the NC while contributing absolutely nothing in the way of leadership himself. He'll learn soon enough just how quickly this type of player gets ignored. Want to do something? Then get a platoon and do it, don't whine from the sidelines on forumside.

For my part, VCO had an absolute blast helping the Vanu keep from getting steamrolled by the TR to maintain that draw. Amerish was the only continent that didn't result in a queue for our platoon, and since our official Ops had started with only about 30 minutes left in the alert, we decided to throw our forces into aiding the VS for a draw, rather than let the TR run away with it. Now granted.... we may have had ulterior motives in hoping that after the TR was gone, you would shift your attention to the NC push on Ymir, but the VS are wiser than that. Well played, gents. I for one will enjoy the battles yet to come.

I know. It's even sadder when you consider the 'Mattherson is the MLG infantry server' reputation that they claim to have.

what is an assault rifle? if you choose an assault rifle over an Orion/Godsaw/T9 Carv you're doing it wrong.

it's pretty much most of the vets are forced to play support as nobody likes to play support, I've seen people from V and DA pull medics that PRIORITIZE REVIVING AND HEALING as opposed to just running around and shooting.

Where is Waterson's TR equivalent of SVO, BWC, 903rd, and VG that came over with the merge. Where is this excellence ?

Well I tagged along with a BWC tank group one time and watched them randomize their 4-6 tanks between fronts uselessly for 10-15 mins, rather than committing to one of the ~3 separate losing fronts which could've used them. I wouldn't judge an entire outfit on that much time watching them (Recursion was amazing when I played with them, but their weaker leaders sometimes randomized in that same way,) but I guess I'm waiting for them to have that moment where they seem excellent to me.

VG seems alright, given the challenges of leading large groups of players (I'm not sure if I'd quite call them a zergfit.) I've seen them make smart choices (infantry footzerg when it actually sorta made sense: against a big clump of enemy AA using good cover) and I've seen them be mediocre (massing libs to push on a useless base when we had no tech plant and the lattice with the tech plant literally had only about a squad of enemies; their libs even flew through that base, and failed to kill the only useful target (sunderer) at the time, which was spotted. But hey, at least they did help capture that other useless base, so it's not like they were an EXE (connery TR) air zerg!)

I knew that an Outfit with a V in the Tag must have some ties to the Vanu!

Now i am extra suspicious of those VG guys on the TR. I shall request a preemptive reeducation session for them to ensure undying loyalty is not compromised by extraterrestrial meddling!

In my limited experience, farming TR became a lot easier than before with this merge
