They are trying to do one huge optimization so they don't have to do little optimizations over time. So AMD will get some optimization, Intel is just getting it first because they had contracts and ****.
Losing hope after what...4-5 days since the release? Right... If you can't play it now, come back later. They've clearly said they're working on it. Can't you just wait?
They promised us optimization for months in the beta, people with the intel comps got it, not us AMD owners. There were propably one time where they succeeded in optimizing unplayable game to horribly playable game, but still 1 on 1 with someone with some intel parts ends up in the guy with the intel comp doing pirouettes around while u just lag and spray at walls. We've been losing hope for way longer than 4-5 days. I do hope they find a quick solution, I allready invested money in the game and I would like to PLAY IT on equal terms to everyone else.
i have a i7 2700k gtx 570 12 gb ram and i have terrible performance in the game so it isnt just amd lol my friends pc is amd but not as powerful as mine and yet he runs this game better than me. I was even playing it on all low settings and in combat it is almost unplayable and sometimes it is unplayable.
Same GPU as OP with a 3GHz Core2Extreme (old but still beastly, never had troubles in any other game) and it's all the same. It seems like the game just literally doesn't take advantage of your full specs, regardless of what they are.
Same here, I've also spent money and I'm also an AMD user (full on). However I see no reason to get angry, because if you read the optimization thread he says his FPS is also dropping to low 20s in major battles and I have the same issue with my med-range PC (except GPU, just future proofing, lol). So, I'm in fact very happy to even have "hardly" playable FPS at this stage and not be stuck at three or something. I have Athlon II x4 640 OC 3.5. I mean...it's rubbish. Still I'm mostly above 20s. Of course I would love to see higher FPS and unlike you (I guess) I have the patience and faith in these guys.
I have the i 2500k 4.1ghz ... only job 50 % max ... GPU is gtx 570. have the same problem as yours. 30-35 fps ...
Op here,so there has been a patch optimizing the game for intel cpus, do i understand you right? If that is really true, that would be horrible. I love Amd for cheap good cpus and Intel for having awesome more expensive ones, what i hate are companies that prefer one of em over the other, am not exactly sure if thats true here, but if it is, that would be a real bad move. I love this game, just had a superb session with 5 friends of mine, rocking the server. 2 of em have the intel i5 2500k as their cpu, 1 has a intel i5 750 (is as good and even a little better as mine, with much less clock) 2 of the group have the 955be (me included) 1 has the Intel DualCore e8400 (+ ati hd5770) so now let me say it this way: i5 2500= both running awesome with frames above 40-45 in battle i5 750= running good as well amd 955be= both running ****** (one of us good gpu, the other ******) e8400 = running ****** as well, maybe running the same as me or a little bit better? when i look at my friends system, it sounds like the intel based systems are in fact running okay, if its more than a old dual core (and even that one seems to be on par with mine). amd systems are all running very bad. but obviously not all intel cpus are running very good, take for example the guys posting in this thread about there performance issues. i cant really pin the problem down, what we all have in common is the fact, that none of our systems are used fully to their potential. so my question is this, are there any news, developer comments about this kind of issue? are there any reports, acknowledgments regarding this problem? are there any infos on specially amd driven issues? i need a little bit of information coming from a source that maybe is even in contact with the devs of this game? i thank you all for commenting, this really seams to be a big problem, and im sure as hell not going to invest any money into this game as i did in league of legends until these issues are rectified. But what i can say is this, I FRIGGIN LOVE THIS GAME! i was so friggin hyped about it, and it really lived up to my expectations, so all i ask for is a little help, if that cant be provided at least a little bit of information. ty
so news, i got my infos, here on this thread there is a dev writing about exact the same problems: http://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/quick-note-on-optimization.49152/
Benchmarks with my 3570k running at 4200 in some fairly heavy battles. GFX is 6970, 1680 x 1050, everything at medium Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg 2655, 47424, 46, 77, 55.984 Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg 7676, 186858, 11, 63, 41.079 Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg 164, 4446, 36, 38, 36.887
I very well may upgrade anyway. I never have issues with graphics (run everything on high.) When stuff hits the fan, it's all CPU bound. Thanks man, you made this expensive decision easier!
If you have a Mircocenter near you can pick up a 3570k for $169, if you get a motherboard with it they take off another $40 for the combo.
I have SLI 680s and a 3770k OCed to 4.6Ghz with the game running on a SSD cached drive and the OS on a seperate SSD - I still get occasional dips running everything on max - while the game looks great it's still nothing compared to AAA titles that my PC can smash - It's not just you.
I hear that a lot. There aren't any close by. I'll just catch a Newegg sale or something, but thanks.
Tested in my AMD comp: CPU - T1100be GPU - Radeon 6950 (turned off 2nd card) 16gb RAM (on 1600 mhz. ECU) Motherboard with 990FX chipset Tried SSD and HDDs (difference is not so high except loading) Stable 25+ fps in high battles, but we want some more. Solution: This game flies in all high settings of graphics on this GPU (if you set proper driver settings). Difference is about 3 fps. So the problem is not a GPU. As the CPU of AMD is working a bit different (not better or worse than Intel just different more like server platform if you know what i mean.) i made a bit testing this game. SO! First is what you gonna do is proper viddriver settings: 1) You must set an AA and Anisotropic filtering to position where program will be able to choose it's own modes (with this game it's the better way) 2) DISABLE!! (or lower type of ) CATALYST A.I. (same problem with EVE was solved). It works too hard and takes much power (it's easier to say 4 me like that) of CPU (yes CPU) and GPU and HT (HyperTransport). 3) Set Adaptive MSAA (or smth like that, i don't remember properly). Second it's a CPU problem: First of all an AMD works absolutely different with RAM and GPU. It runs HyperTransport on very high MHZ (Next step is for some ppl who knows how to work with BIOS). You'll need some things to do. 1) You need to try (ONLY IF YOU KNOW YOUR TECH SPECS) to gain your HypTrans MHZ. 2) Gain you're CPU clocks 3) Gain a bit your NorthBridge MHZ >>>> !!!!!! BUT !!!!!! <<<< BE EXTREMELY CAREFULL WITH THOSE CHANGINGS! Your final settings in MHZ (of your CPU, HT, NB) CAN'T BE OVER YOUR OVERCLOCKING SETTINGS! It means if you have CPU Clocks 17 and CPU have 3700mhz, when you change it to 19 it will be much more, so you need to lower it down by lowering a CPU MHZ (or your comp gonna make fried potatoes... You can't just make it over 9000 mhz...). Same with HT and NB. Also your RAM mhz will grow up, and you must be carefull there too. Meaning of what we've done: it's to deliver more commands per tick into CPU and to make wider your "road" from CPU to RAM + to make you're GPU breath more softly. There's one more point with Windows OS (7\8 it doesn't matter): After 4-6 hours of gaming (if you're in war and in different territories) game lowers it's fps by 5-15. SRY 4 my BaD Engl.
Your cpu is slow , so is your single 6950 with 1GB of vram .. You are definatly reaching your vram limit and your cpu aint helping at all .
OC your Phenom to 4ghz it's easy. Unpark your cores. Try the real ultra settings to put as much job on that good gpu you got as you can. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3029182 I got a 960t @4ghz and a 6870 and I get 30+ in massive fights with these tricks and that with nice graphics. Also put shadows at 0 and you gain 4-5 fps.
I'm from Russia, so I use Google translator. The game is not Optimized for AMD processors, you just have to wait for patches. Acceleration little added fps. At its core i7 2700k@4.8 ghz and amd7850 in major battles fps drops to 60, in a quiet mode 100 +
