10 min + wait on Scythe with level 6 passive. wat

Interesting. I see it as a BF thing. If you want to fly you often have to wait, but nothing forces you to play as something else. I'm fine with waiting, be it 12 or 24 hours, but to force someone to play is a bit...ridiculous?

Also, think about your 1/3. The very notion of it is incredibly stupid, no offense. Just...think for a second.

Mm yes, this game offers a great deal for free and I think they deserve all the money they get, but for me, 30-40min/day is not worth the sub.

That's a common misconception, rooted in your past gaming experience. SOE is pioneering a new genre of FPS games, ones that aren't infantry focused. PlanetSide 2 is not about infantry with vehicles as supplements. PlanetSide 2 is a game where infantry is a supplement to vehicles.

Infantry are there to support armor forces, not other way around. I understand it's easy to assume this game is just like other FPS, but it's not. This is a vehicle game.

I find it refreshing every time I steam roll over squads of infantry with my Magrider. I love rocket-podding infantry with my Scythe. I love making heavy assaults take dirt naps with my Medic. I can't stop being excited to run behind lines with my Infiltrator equipped with a suppressed automatic rifle.

I play combined arms roles in this game. I enjoy the infantry side of PlanetSide 2.

However, screw your over-zealous conviction for the infantry-only play style.

Not sure that was the intention of the re-spawn timer, but that's what I use the spare time for.

Well, I am back again - alt-tabbed cos I got killed by some invisible AA. So 5 mins in game, 10 mins on forum afk at warpgate.

If I wasn't just on for a quick 30-60 minute fun I would have joined a platoon and run round with them but when I am in for a quick play session I just want to hop into my vehicle of choice and go have a bit of fun. Instead I spend most my time AFK catching up on the fourms.

I know the feeling mate, I had it down to 3 mins, now its 7 mins... Really not happy. bloody SOE always listening tot he COD forum complainers.... Rest of us get screwed without even a thank you....

its about being forced into playing a way the COD crowd demand it... They don tlike something so they scream till soe gives it to them.

Man, I'm totally confused. Those infantry look really weird in your New Conglomerate signature file. They look an awful lot like tanks.

You know he asks a good question.

They put a resource system in. Then they put in a timer. Then they made a way to shorten the timer with certs. Then they added resource boosts for purchase.

Why did they do all of that? Do they have resources because PS1 has resources? Is this something the vets asked for before the game started beta? So far I see a lot of this going down dead ends that are not playing to the strengths of the form.

-It is like, I have been turning my mind around why they took and made a hex system, then made the hexes tied to a lattice system. Nothing can be taken without a base of some sort. Why did they do this? Is it that the vets wanted a lattice system and they met them somewhere in the middle to where neither is adding anything to the game? That they are making bigger problems by trying to hybrid it or something?

LOL OP, this is a combined arms game. if you only want to fly, you may enjoy the plethora of flight sims. try to diversity your skill sets. Its a good educational experience, frees you from the requirements of aircraft flight, and will help you to appreciate how special flying is. basically, stop being a baby and try something new.

if SOE did change the timers, then that is certainly something that NEEDS to be in the notes.

Lets say this guy tries something new, and does not prefer it. Should he play that? Does it make the fact that he plays as whatever, how it is now, and is only here to complain about the timer, when he is complaining.. a bad thing?

There are specialists. I know many that play just a few class options or are vehicle centric. They are valuable. Usually these guys are better at that role than the jack of all trades guy. If we were to talk of broad generalities. So, why are we making statements to these guys that they should play other things?

I play HA. Once in a while I will play engineer. I have no want to heal, no want to go and snipe. Should I be playing everything even though I do not care to play those things? I jump in a tank once in a while, I never fly.. am I worth less?

If you all want to ignore the rest of the game to just play one part of it that is fine, but don't complain that you have nothing to do when your vehicle is down.

Regardless of air hate/tank hate/hate hate having either an undocumented change like this shouldn't be the way patches are handled. If it isn't an intended change and was actually a bug that ignores the certs people spend on re spawn time reduction you'd think there would be some level of empathy for a broken cert dump.

I can hate on rocket podding ESFs all I want but I won't laugh at the guy who's thousand cert investment is now defunct due to a bug because I'm not an *******.
