The light shows are certainly interesting and almost have their own sort of beauty to them.
They have acknowledged there are problems with FPS, and it's unplayable for me right now. Can't say the GUI looks better either, the way some icons...
Even on my laptop, I managed to play in large battles with medium settings with slight OC. Now getting maybe 5 FPS in small fights.
