The cloak would be nice to have back.

Not an excuse for a mammoth cannon on an ant though. I am utterly bewildered by the takes here.
In this thread I will outline all the things that kill my liberator and suggest I get a pivotable anti-everything nosegun that one-shots ESFs and two shots tanks and makes me a cup of coffee while I'm mowing down player-constructed AA turrets.

Seriously if you can't find allies and don't know how to hide, why don't you go show off your skills in a lib instead? You obviously don't need allies to gun for you if solo libs are so powerful.
  3. Botji

Sure I want to buff the Skyguard because I use it but thats simply because its not good at the role to begin with. If I or no one else used it I would not care if it was buffed or not, would be no point then.

Another core reason I want the Skyguard to be the main/best G2A weapon is that unlike everything else its a obvious target and presence, you know if there is a Skyguard around from either sound or their projectile visual effects. They are also unable to hide/camp in safe spots on the majority of places on any continent which combined with their vulnerability to most ground vehicles would make them the perfect 'high value' target for people to kill and protect.

As for not needing a buff because it can move and shoot at the same time only shows how inexperienced you are as a player if you dont know that both a Valk and Lib can hover above a Skyguard and kill it before the Skyguard can kill them and I am sure you will try to claim that the Skyguard just has to shoot at the from range first which is true but what potato pilot keeps going like that instead of backing off, repairing and trying again from a different direction?

If that is the average level of pilots on your server, holy smokes I guess there is a easy mode server out there because that sounds hilariously stupid and I can understand how you keep claiming to being a top level player in a bunch of different things if the competition is literal sacks of potatoes in a chair.

The Skyguard being a dedicated G2A vehicle with no other strengths should be the apex predator in terms of aircraft, when aircraft like Valks and Liberators actively hunt them its fairly obvious they need a buff.

Ants are one of the better ground vehicles against aircraft compared to whatever you want, because you are still mainly a single person in a Ant so the same should be applied to the other vehicles you want to compare it with. Obviously a Skyguard is better or at least more streamlined to fight aircraft with a single person, hence "one of the better" instead of "the best".

A solo Ant with a Ranger on it is a better choice than a solo Harasser with a Ranger on it because its not too much of a difference in how agile or hard to hit they are for a aircraft, Harasser is faster and more agile but a Ant is no snail either but the Ant has much more health and also has better damage resistance so it takes a bit less damage from aircraft than a Harasser does, so even a solo Ant has a decent shot at fighting back with seat swapping.

So should we tell everyone else how long that takes or would that be too easy to prove how garbage that argument is?
Anyone wondering, it takes ~15 seconds for a Skyguard to kill another Lightning unless its shooting it from behind ofc while Viper/AP/HEAT Lightning can kill the Skyguard in about half that time, without having to be within spitting distance.

Cant say anything for your rant about wings hitting the ground, no real clue what you are talking about aside from it sounds like a bad trip on something.
The only other thing that comes to mind is that perhaps you actually do play on some server where that is actually the average ability of pilots so you think they have to fly that close to the ground to hit something, which in hindsight would explain a few things you say.
  4. Exileant

o_O Bot, we have already been over the fact that P.S.N. players skill levels surpass P.C. Players skill at maneuvering vehicles by worlds; they fly around 6 feet from the ground between buildings inverted to show off. And fly at those heights because as big as a Liberator is, they are also insanely fast, and it makes it much easier for them to evade A.A. while this close to the ground, as buildings and trees provide much more protection than open sky. They do so not because they have to, but because it is smart to, and THAT is what makes them deadly. Their natural flying nature now sees to it, they can use the Cas30 the way it was meant to be, at close range, and the Dalton how it was not, at close range. :( Which instantly kills every vehicle with the exception of a Colossus; and those can be killed with a twin team a distraction, and someone to drop the shield for you. I have seen it done with the Skylance shield active too, but one of the twins always falls.

 The fact that you literally said A.N.T.s are better ground vehicles for aircraft for ANY reason against anything, lets me know you either cannot play worth 2 cents, DO NOT play at all, are as dense as the shrubs on Hossin (which can shred metal), or are on hard, HARD drugs.... An A.N.T. Better than a Harasser when it comes to A.A.? Have you lost your mind? A Harasser can carry a dang MAX with A.A. and THEN it can make use of an A.A. turret. It tops out at 196 (confirmed by me), possibly 200 K.P.H. and that is what makes it so viable as a seat swap unit. An A.N.T. cannot reach those speeds, thus will have slowed to a stop before any serious damage is done to your target for your average player.

 You are just as bad as Demi, and not worth talking to anymore if you truly believe this garbage you just spouted.....
  5. Exileant

;) Thank you, that is all I am saying. Give back the cloak for real, because the alternatives are painful.

 You already have a swiveling anti-everything gun. I forgot the name of it, and they took it from us on PlayStation because they refuse to give us the option to Key-bind thus we could not use it. It was similar to the gun on an Apache and can damage any target. Beyond that I could blast an E.S.F. out of the sky with a Dalton without so much as batting an eye at one point, before that, I simply threw my Liberator into a perpetual back flip and used my Hyena's and dropped fighters like flies, and because they would always get confused as to which end was going to snap at them first, so they would take the safe bet and pick the nose to stay close too at which point I would hop in the Cockpit and run them though one of my intakes. :D There are a ton of people fighting like this, so I have little doubt someone who had the AUDACITY to name themselves Eaglebird is not causing the song Cyclone to randomly play as SOON as you pull one, because you do the same thing, especially with the ease, instant mobility and prediction when it comes to a mouse.:p

o_O You know as well as I do the stuff you can do in a Liberator, ONCE YOU LEARN HOW TO, does not FEEL fair, (IT IS BECAUSE IT TAKES AGES TO GET THAT GOOD) and after awhile it gets old.... I do not use them anymore because they have a lifespan. Once people know who you are, they go on high alert. :( I abused it once I learned it and payed the price. I hop in one decimate a column, and that is it, they send out the ENTIRE air-force and pull nothing BUT Skyguards and Rangers. It stopped being fun, or effective long term.

o_O There is no excuse for a Liberator to target an A.N.T. in my opinion but they do it anyway. They should be made to pay for trying to nab an easy kill while most of us are so helpless at the moment.
  6. Botji

Its almost scary how delusional you are but you are right that there is no point talking with you anymore so byeee!

My only question here is why there is a thread complaining about how a clearly designated mineral harvester units (which traditionally in video games of all genres is a weak unit that requires escorts at all times) should be able to tow it with a dedicated Arial anti armor unit...

Look, I can see this being a good complaint on the console version of the came where cordite is semi-useless. But on PC the A.N.T. has a clear role, and if you are getting picked on by liberators, then I suggest you find some escorts. The A.N.T. is not a combat unit, and it was never intended to be.

My suggestion is to part some flak lightnings nearby and maybe some allied heavies. Teamwork is the name of the game, and even simply buddying of with 1-2 AA MAXs will ensure that any liberator that comes for you gets a nasty surprise.
  8. Botji

As I am sure you will get to know, logical arguments do not work on this guy.

Even though he quickly filled a Harasser with both a gunner and a AA MAX to ensure the Ant is weaker, it will suddenly become impossible to find teammates to keep the Ant safe like you suggested and thats why it needs to be better protected and armed than MBTs + have the cloak back.

Though now that I already said it he might use some other excuse, who knows, but I suggest not to bother.
  9. LodeTria

Cloak yes, removing it was just pandering to infantryside whiners.
All this garbo you're chatting though? lol shutup.

You'll never get the ANT cloak back, because it was wayyyy out of line too strong. It should never have passed QA anyway.
  11. Exileant

 In the games I played traditionally, harvesters are actually very powerful. They are usually light on range but they have a lot of armor to deal with being shot at, are very fast to be able to cut and run from being ambushed and can easily turn their mining equipment into a weapon and do ambushing of their own. o_O Whether a Beam or Multi-cog rotation drill bits, they are usually close range, but make up for that by being more powerful than anything in the game. The A.N.T. is the first mining vehicle that I have ever encountered that could destroy a ore, an immortal object, but could not do damage to an enemy vehicle.....

:( To me it makes no sense that A.N.T.s are as weak as they are.

I beg to differ on the A.N.T. never being meant to be used as a Combat Unit. There was actually a Mission called Warrior A.N.T. that backs my theory. It is just the A.N.T. is not the best at it due to the errors and overall flaws it now has by them taking way the Vehicles Cloak.

 I have a question of my own: Without a Cloak, why is it still even called an Advanced Nanite Transport? Nothing it can do is even remotely advanced now. Anything it can do a Sunderer can do better, except attempt to run and die tired.

 An Infiltrator on its own without a vehicle is stronger than a Cloaking A.N.T. by far. I have no idea how or WHY you think it is strong.... It would be one thing if the A.N.T. could fire WHILE cloaked..... :( But it could not.... And even if it could.... Ooooooooh a Basilisk or a Bulldog while cloaked is sooooo deadly....... Come on now.... :D Hahahaha!

;) Amen, thank you! o_O You have got to be more specific as to who you are telling to "Shut up." If you were typing at me... (GASP) No, YOU shut up, LodeTria, ya big mean pair of DRAWS! If it was someone else, they probably deserved it and I retract the action of calling you angry underwear.:p

The ANT does need some kind of buff, hopefully with an easier to see cloak brought back into the game, or they give the ANT as well as the WASP the ability to ram better. Honestly the ANT is completely useless on PS4, and they should just remove it if it isn't able to cloak. The Colossus can regenerate cortium faster than an ANT can leave, find cortium, and come back to replenish.
  17. Mechwolf

Either they should remove the ANT, or give cortium more utility as a resource. Now that ANTs can't cloak, they have very little play on the battlefield unless they're blocking shots, and nobody gets xp from taking damage.

Not to mention they don't have any range nor damage to even tickle tank snipers.
  18. VV4LL3

This isn't a problem unique to the ANT -- the Liberator is meant to kill ground, but with a medium skilled gunner and/or aimbot, has a very high hit rate against all vehicles. It's mostly a weapon performance issue.
