Question about hacking and detection

    If you fly for more than 10 sec thanks to an OS you'd die from impact anyway. So the OOB timer would not change a thing. Now, if we say the timer kicks in after being out of element for a short time (spitballing a hidden timer of 5 seconds) that accounts for anomalous behaviour not far outside the ordinary, such as a short clipping problems, as well as unvoluntary movement like the OS blast.
    When dropping from an aircraft you either have the drop protection - which I hazard the guess is a status the game can assign and detect, otherwise it would not work - or tend to die from falling damage (with the possible exception of low drops with Safe Fall implant, where the hidden 5 sec for detection plus 10 sec timer would be more than enough to get to terra firma). And since the game can detect drop protection, it can surely count infantry with this status as rightfully being where they are.

    I agree with this being a good idea. A combination of statistical analysis through code and policing by the players involved in the session, that could actually work. These things have to be taken much more seriously than others because it is the quickest way to loose disintegrate participation in a game like this. There are so many others to chose from.
