Change capture system

    Please, change the lattice system with something different. I don't play this game anymore

    This heavily depends on what you are looking for in your capture system.

    The original adjacency system gave freedom for players to attack anything they wanted. Even with the ludicrous amount of players that joined and played every day back then this freedom just invited people to mostly Zerg or Ghost cap. The Zergs would actively avoid each other, and the only things that stopped Zergs? Biolabs, The Crown and other facilities that offered long or even 24/7 fights.

    The original adjacency system sucked, it had too little guidance and too much reward for avoiding or cheesing a fight. Nowadays we have fewer players and even more rewards for cheesing a fight. So Adjacency system is out.

    That leaves modifying the lattice system, or creating a new one from scratch.

    You could let players modify the lattice system. The construction system needs a purpose, allowing it to generate lattice-links would help both at the same time.

    You could use a hybrid adjacency/lattice system. There are several ways, such as simply linking all large facilities with lattices and letting the adjacency system work on the rest. Unfortunately that would basically be an even more open adjacency system with all flaws it contains plus more.

    Better perhaps to divide it into regions. Each region contains one to three larger facilities surrounded by smaller bases. Within a region an adjacency system could function, allowing players to move somewhat freely within it. To connect to another region you would need to capture a few specific bases before a lattice link is formed between the two regions and you can invade the next one according to the adjacency system.

    You can then look at better rewards for certain actions. For example instead of the "run rampant and capture any random base you can get your hands on" that is basically the current capture-the-continent system you could let it depend on how many regions you have control over with a minimum of for example 80% of the bases within in your hands. Now a Zerg cant just flow down a lane and be successful, it has to capture the entire region and specific bases within to make sure it connects to the next region. The defenders can use this and hold specific bases, even if the region falls you can still prevent try to stall the Zerg from reaching the next region.

    Anyway, tell us what you want to be changed. I could list 3 or 4 more variations to the overall system but thats useless unless we know what you really want.

    I like the idea to divide the entire continent in regions or something like that
