DBG you are ******* up SO MUCH with the libs.

    It doesn't really matter that much to infantry, and most people play infantry therefore, most people couldn't care less, or would be ignorant of this.

    So Liberators and Harassers have been buffed against other vehicles, yikes. If anything i would have said the Liberator was just right pre-patch and the Harasser OP pre-patch in the sense of it's cheapness. I would personally revert most changes, move the Harasser from 150 to 200 cost in-line with the ANT. The one hit kill with Dalton to light aircraft i think is fine, it requires skill. Light aircrafts should learn to stay above the Dalton gun.

    It needed a nerf.. and they buffed it.

    The only explanation I can think of is hinted in the dev notes:

    They balanced the liberators with a) lib vs lib encounters and b) other esfs.

    In short, they are entirely ignoring the balance between libs and other vehicles. (*** cough*** LIKE SUNDIES *** cough*** or any other land vehicle not equipped with viable ground to air anti lib weapons (hint: there are no viable anti lib weapons with the exception of the specialised skyguard equipped lightning which is beyond useless for anything else)

    As someone who's flown the Lib for quite a while, this is nonsense. It's absolute suicide to get close enough to a Lib to try to position out of its firing arc. The single reliable strategy for ESF is to keep range and slowly plink away, preferably in a constant reverse maneuver. It's incredibly boring combat.

    They're tanks, flying tanks.

    Even solo I can spec to be anti everything,
    I can MELT tanks with tankbuster, highest AV burst in the game.
    I can nuke infantry with my zephyr, kills kills kills,
    Get ganked by skyknights? I can practically one clip them with auto-homing missiles.

    It's a heavily armoured anti-everything flying tank.

    I guess this guy want to say what dalton buff was a bit to much. For example, when i hunt pumpkins i noticed what it deal around ~2000 dmg to harraser, so sololib pilot can shot you a bit with tankbuster and then SUDDENLY just blowup you from dalton while you not expect one shot on such high health. But, BUT! There is a positive side, this changes nothing for infantry, but if dalton became so good against vechicles it means we now have less vechicles, so we all (except mbt\harraser mains) gonna have more fun without stupid cliff campers who spam HE after HE in single doorway.

    One game designer from Wargaming said once: "Страдай п*****с, твои мучения радуют нас".

    I think this fit perfectly for this situation. I am glad what they buffed dalton, this means less tanks and ESFs (cuz not it is one shots them too) = More infantry fights.

    Awesome, you make a vehicle OP but it changes nothing for the ones that it does nothing to in the first place.

    Simply put, it's genius ! What a FABULOUS positive side to things ! lol

    Would love to see some of your gameplay killing ESFs with Hyenas solo. Especially pilots that can fly.
    1200/2.5=480 dps before patch
    1500/3.25=461.5 dps after patch

    Because of higher damage per shot it can now 1shot ESFs again but against higher health targets Dalton is actually less effective now because of the increased reload time.
    And Lib lost its 20% bottom armor so it takes more damage from ground now.
    How is this a buff against ground vehicles? Pretty obvious that it's stronger against ESFs and weaker against ground now. Explain please, maybe i'm just too stupid to understand why less resistance and less dps is a buff.

    God I ******* HATE theorycrafting and theorycrafters, it's always those ones writing HUGE walls of text on the outfit discord or forums as if to compensate for their lack of performance in game.

    Although of course, I do also write my fair share of walls of text.

    The Dalton change is like a 20 damage nerf on "DPS" (if we can call it that, basically, shoot for 60 seconds, divide result by 60 and you'll get that "dps" per second) EDIT -> so instead of having a DPS of 480, it drops to 460

    But it's a 20% increase not even in "burst dps" but in direct one hit damage.

    I didn't do the maths, and I'm going to, but I would imagine that it works in a bit the same way as rockets fired by HA.

    And what's the best rocket fired by HA? The decimator, which (agian, I didn't do the maths) probably has a slower "DPS" than other rockets but makes a difference cause it hits hard.

    In short, pure figures aren't the only thing that matter "damage / dps / ttk"; the kind of damage (as you should know from all the different small arms available in game) is also very important, I might add that it matters even more. (think of C4)

    There's a reason the devs in the notes specified that they thought it made the encounter with ESFs more "skill based". That statement is an acknowledgement that it is a buff, and indeed, its a one shot kill kind of buff.

    And yeah I know we're not talking about ESFs right now, we'll I'm not, but think of this, if this buff makes it more skill based to hit an ESF, which legitimises the "buff" (I'm still calling it a buff), I mean that's the explanation right? It's more skill based.

    Tell me how much skill does a lib gunner need to hit a tank, let alone a ******* sunderer?

    PS, before you or anyone else asks, I want to specify three things :


    1. I've been playing since 2013.

    2. I have never, ever, ever EVER been in a liberator, either as driver or gunner, not for more than a few minutes, not in those 6 years.

    3. On the other hand, just sharing my mega huge EPEEN, and just by checking a couple of my accounts, I've probably killed more vehicles than half the players has killed infantry. And even if 10% of those are Libs, it's a hell of a lot of libs.

    So I don't know anything about libs, never flew any, but they've killed me and I've killed them enough time to know what I know, without theorycrafting, and that is, that they are RIDICULOUSLY overpowered right now (at least with regards to ground).
