Harassers are overpowered.

It's a thicken buggy, and it's armor can stop AP shells from a giant tank cannon, It's mobility is ridiculous, it's size is small, making it hard to hit. And the weapons it's allowed to equip makes this vehicle overpowered.

    Costs only 150....why?

You may say that a harasser requires 2 people (btw every vehicle requires 2 ppl or more), but the question is what's its counter and downsides?

    The cost is hilariously wrong.

I have a logistics specialists implant and I can just chain pull them one after another after another.

Mines seem to work properly against them now which fixes one major issue.

An AP round should put one on fire in one shot.
Small arms should do another 20% more damage than it already does.
GodSAW AV rounds should do more damage than they do.
They should take significant damage from MAX collisions but don't.

Weapons on them seem appropriate so long as they were just a tad more fragile and more expensive.

    Fixed it lol.

    Barely anyone uses mines.

Agree. It either should have a bit less HP OR cost around 250 nanites.A harder nerf than that would be overkill though.

Also, the Ranger on that thing is freaking hilarious.

I mine most sundies that I deploy from and kill harassers all the time because of it. :)

Up until recently harassers could fly past them at full speed and not take damage though.

Reduce its damage resistance to small arms, its a buggy not a tank.

The harasser right now is in the right place, it used to be OP when it could absorb one more tank shell before going down, but at the same time it costed 250, at the time it was truly OP, specially with guns like the vulcan.
Right now its gameplay is totally based off surprise attacks from the rear, so it's most often the tanker error that causes his death, specially lightnings should be aware of their position at all times as they are the most vulnerable to harassers, but at the same time a lightning, specially HEAT, is a great threat to the harasser if aware and targeting the harasser.

For the case of harasser squads, you have no way to counter them alone, you need a group of other tankers and repair sunderers, a group of lightnings will never be attacked by harassers if all the members cover each other's back and are aware of their surroundings.
Also for sunderers, the cobalt is the strongest option against harassers, no joke.

Harassers seem overpowered until you drive one.

Annoying yes, especially when they just turbo through your squad and kill you and there is nothing you can do.

But against good tankers you're better off just jumping off a high place without safe-fall. Same result.

You can't really base the power of something when a good player is facing a bad player. Like if a good harasser crew comes at me in a tank, which for me is as rare as a blue moon, then i'll probly die because i suck with tanks. But against a skilled tank player you will never win.

The only harasser that's really overpowered is a ranger harasser. Why something that costs so little can create an area of air denial is beyond my comprehension.

The only Harasser weapon that annoys me is the Vulcan and how it can shred just about any target with ruthless efficiency. It doesn't appear to me as if the Boombox is anywhere near as good as it is, although I have only gunned on a Boombox, never done it on the Vulcan.

I think its soft counter is the fact that you have to play risky in order to be efficient with it and most of its weapons don't have too much range.
  10. Inzababa

they are, but everyone loves them, so the devs aren't gona change them..

(and most people will tell you on these forums that they aren't, cause they use and like them)
  11. Silkensmooth

No. I rarely ever drive harassers because other than running over infantry or killing parked sundies they just arent very good. Tanks totally wreck you.

If you mean overpowered as far as running over infantry, then yes i agree. As anti vehicle platform the harasser is not good, let alone overpowered.

Vulcans don't really shred. They used to but of course they got nerfed. Like the gatekeeper and is now justa fancy way of commiting suicide.

If you think otherwise, you should go drive around in one.

Mjolnir and vulcan have very similar DPS, even aphelion isn't too far behind. Of the 3 Id say aphelion probably has the advantage just due to the superior range.

How often do you see the aphelion? People use OP stuff, you know? If something ain't used that says it all...

1v1 they can't do much, but get 5 Sarons and one Ranger and there's not much that those 12 guys won't dominate. I'd absolutely take a Harasser squad over any other vehicle squad. They basically fill the role that ESF used to, but are more survivable.
  15. NXR1

I didn't say anything is overpowered, and I see aphelion on almost every VS harrasser the charged shot just shreds infantry and its got DPS to quickly kill armor, its a pretty great gun. but once again, never said its overpowered like how vulcan and mjolnir aren't overpowered aphellion is just more versatile the others due better at their intended role though.
  16. Trigga

Dont see a great deal of harassers on my server tbh, sure theres the odd squad of them but nowhere near as many as there used to be (sadly).
    Youre welcome. ;)
  17. Pacster3

Versatility only matters if you excell at something at the same time. Jack of all trades guns that are not really good(let alone best) at anything are not really used in this game for a good reason.
  18. AEROCHAOSS

What can the aphelion do against a mjolnir? Not much though. Same with Vulcan.
The aphelion needs to do the charged shot, in order to get similar DPS. But then you really need to make this shot hit, else you wasted much more than just subsequent shooting. the Vulcan has just a more easy way to hit. NC gun has splash damage. Great against any. Infantry, hit them or not gonna die, there the Vulcan and aphelion are even? The aphelion gets only the best ttk against big targets, but each of these are fodder for the other two empires either.
So well against tanks they take two hits plus a little bit. Means a tank with gunner should be able to kill them usually. I got the most expience with the magrider, which is the weakest against harassars. But it just depends do get this at least 66% accuracy against the harassar or not. If I do it's dead or better retreated.
What I dislike is, dead harassar means just pull a new one and they are way to often just destroying all deployed Sundi that a push stops, the farm ends.
  19. adamts01

That's simply not true. Unless they're strictly hunting armor, NC Harassers and MBTs use a Halberd because it's decent against everything. TR's Vulcan is similar. VS uses the Saron over the Halberd or Aphelion exactly because it's so versatile. ESF use the stock gun because it can do a little bit of everything, same with the Shredder/Walker Lib. Same with Basilisk Sunderers. Out of every one of those examples, the Saron and the Vulcan are the only weapons that are versatile while also shining at something. You don't give jack of all trade guns enough credit, especially in this rock-paper-scissors CAI version of PS2 where a specialized gun against the wrong target meas you don't stand a chance.
  20. iller

Just plow into them with a Turbo utility ANT... easy 1 shotting if they've already taken atleast 30% damage on their own
