What does server latency mean?

    What does server latency mean? (Value visible when pressing the tab key)

    It's the amount of time it takes for a server to process a request - so your client sends a request to the game server to say you're firing your gun at someone, the latency (or lag) is how long it takes the game server to process that action by telling the other guy he is being shot at
