[Suggestion] New Tool (and possible retitle) for Engineer

    Assault Shield - Tool
    If the player wanted to play a more infantry-oriented support role, they could swap out the Repair Tool for the Assault Shield. This tool would create a wide shield that would provide mobile cover to the player and any teammates behind it. Think of it as a large, futuristic riot shield. Like the Repair Tool, it would need to cool down after lengthy use.

    Now, I've always thought that it would be more fitting to title this class "Support" instead of "Engineer" for the sake of adding new tools and abilities besides the Repair Tool and Turrets. It would also be nice to have several options for class icons to fit certain roles. Obviously, without repairs, it wouldn't make sense to have a wrench as an icon.

    Not so sure myself. I main engineer and the way I play (close infantry support) it is already a pretty combat orientated class. I think the beauty of this class and it's already wide range of tools is that it can 'specialise' in:
    • Infantry support (AI mines, AI mana turret, ammo packs, bit of repairing for Maxes)
    • Armour support (AT mines, repairing, AV mana turret)
    • Buildings support (repairing construction modules, repairing generators)
    However, I see the point that maybe more people go for the repair/resupply role more than the combat role, which surprises me given that carbines are such good CQC primary weapons and AI mines are effective ambush tools (particularly in bases).

    The Engineer has more than enough tools and abilities at his disposal. Other classes need such abilities and additions first.

    I believe that every single class should have just as many slots, tools and utilities available as the Engineer at minimum. This means that the game needs more utilities build for each class, we need something like the turret-slot for every single class, we already have an "ammo-pack" for every class so that's not required and we need a repair-gun slot for every class (some classes already have these type of tools available).

    Y'know what? Stick that on a heavy assault, lock out their primary weapon so they can only use their secondary/rocket launcher much like stalker cloak. Done, you know have a sci-fi riot shield and heavy assault can help their team advance

    I'd like to see improvement to the battle rifle.
    The bloom is too large, my refire time to keep it accurate is the same as a scout rifle, difference being the scouttie will do more damage per bullet now shooting at the same rate to remain accurate at intended ranges.
    I just auraxed engi on ps4 and didnt take long with the turrets.
    Proper usage/placement of the turrets took a while (i did AV and AI) and once you learn it, its more useful in situations ppl wouldnt expect.
    And when i play max, i dont get repairs. Happens to a lot of maxes. When i repair them, i see behind their little robot eye a tear and thy jump up and down and side to side and crouch up n down and are the happiest beings in the world ;) i dont want another tool

    The NC MAX is cancerous enough with its shield, let's not have more of that BS in the game.
