[Suggestion] Empire specific reinforcements

    This are some ideas to improve reinforcement request in game.

    - General:

    Reinforcement request last for 5 minutes. When the request is made, every player in a 1000m radius (or more) will get a notification. If accepted, the player will be place in a queue.
    At 1min, all player that accepted the reinforcement notification will be pod drop on the area.
    A new wave of pod drop is made every 1 minutes on the pointed location.

    -TR reinforcements:

    TR is all about numbers. They have a reduced timer between drop waves: 45 sec and can achieve 1 more drop during reinforcement request.
    When TR make a drop on an area, you can't miss it. It's rainnig pods. For every wave, TR have 25% more pods dropping, that include empty pods. The point is that the ennemy feel the number of a TR superiority.

    - NC reinforcements:

    NC is all about power. When NC pod reach the ground the ennemy can feel it for real. NC pods land in an explosion that cause damages in the area.

    -VS reinforcements:

    VS advanced technology make those drop pods ridiculous. VS engineers created portals. When VS leader ask for reinforcements, soldier appears through a portal on the ground. A same portal allows 4 soldiers to come through and can appear even inside building (spawn room excluded of course)

    Sounds cool, or at the very least fix instant action and allow people to use squad spawn from the original range.

    A year after release people where praising Planetside 2 because it was now easier to find a fight. Then a few more months after that they decide to make it way harder to get to a fight and have instant action not drop pod you into a fight. Getting people into fights is one of the hardest challenges they had to overcome.

    I still want to know why they made these changes or if it was a feature that broke and they never had the time to fix it.

    P.S. The NC drop pods would result in a lot of TK unless all the pods where perfectly timed (maybe that matches the NC way ;)). Maybe explosive resistance for 5 seconds after they land?

    If the teleporter is to hard to implement then just a crazy amount of control for the VS pods would work as well.

    Something like this I always thought would look like how Starcraft is. Vs warp in within energy fields, TR keke, and NC just yell "bang!" and make people run off pissing.

    A much simpler feature would just have hotspots light up. And players can select which one they want to jump into through a selectable spawn feature. A simple fix to get people into the right fights.

    love the idea, except for the NC pod thing being hilariously lackluster XD (its so hard to control the pods movement now that you're most likely going to miss everything, and anything you do hit will be shear chance :)
    perhaps NC could get a short duration NMG that would soak up the first few bullets they take?

    NC one would be hilarious, call for reinforcements which then arrive in a wave of exploding glory destroying the poor sod that asked for reinforcement very NC.

    Currently the lore is that NS controls all spacecraft. This is why all three factions drop using NS droppods, because they all originate from NS spaceships/spacestations.

    It might even be that when soldiers are just chilling out in space waiting to drop, TR, NC, and VS all live peacefully side-by-side in NS facilities. Of course under threat of being perma-killed by the NS if they start misbehaving. :p

    I kind of like that aspect of the lore, that no faction controls space because it answers the very obvious question of why we don't have orbital bombardments and space support.

    All three factions actually work for NS. All three commander voices actually work out of the same room. We're stuck on a backwater planet perpetually fighting each other in order to keep us out of command's hair, and to cover up a secret AI experiment that went horribly wrong.

    There were only two factions but then Caboose went and painted himself purple... it's a long story.
