Idiots beleive Gatekeeper OP while reality&fact disagree

    Quit ******** about how good it is at range WHEN THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD AT.

    Damage and accuracy wise, it's really nothing impressive or better than the counterparts, it just has enough velocity to be effective despite its downfalls. There is nothing wrong with it, stats show it's not killing way more than it should, and that it's not far off from the other fractional counterparts. But those are really irrelevant, because again, the weapon is not grossly dominating anything, it's just new, fun, and easy to use and so people are using it.

    You pea brains cried nerf the Chaingun in droves post buff, because more people were using it and it happens to have the ability to piss people off. you people are SO narrow minded!

    Quit looking at the game with your bloody tunnel vision and ***** when things you don't like piss you off. Just because you perceive it to be OP, that does not alter reality, an it's damn mobs like you that ruin things in this game. So screw off and grow some brain cells.

    Further, I'm not even going to stoop as low as the crap in some of you guy's pants and bring up crap like the vulcan and yadda yadda yadda "X weapon was crap for so long we deserve this!" Or, "X weapon can't do this, we deserve this!"
    QUIT BEING ENTITLED *******! THAT IS NOT RELEVANT IN ANY WAY! THE ONLY THINGS THAT MATTER ARE THE STATS AND THE USAGE STATS AND BOTH DECLARE THAT THE IDIOTS OUT THERE MAKING A MOB ARE FULL OF BS.

    Unfortunately your post with fall on deaf ears. Most of PS2's playerbase is made up is whiny kiddies who can't accept the fact that some people may just be better at a game than they are. The moment they get killed multiple times by something they do not have access to, they'll come on here and ***** and moan until the devs cave into their demands. And sadly, the devs always cave......eventually.

    What's worse is the devs have proven themselves incapable of fixing even the most simple, longstanding balance issues, as to attend to the crap the community brings up and then drop mega nerfs that **** the thing for a while until they eventually almost get it back to where it should be. The whole process taking months and nothing is REALLY fixes, especially when sometimes nothing was broken. People need to understand that if it aint broke don't fix OR **** it.

    The PPA could kill in seconds as could the old ZOE Max. Have you even TRIED to kill a target with the gatekeeper?

    It takes a LOT to kill any target with a Gatekeeper. Even a soft target! The issue is that the VS can no longer farm the other factions as efficiently from long range as they did before thanks to the Gatekeeper. And that is the real reason so many people are butt hurt about it.

    Since we're talking about nerfs ( mind you, I don't support ANY nerfs ), how about they nerf the VS Lancer? Since essentially it's the same weapon only portable. Oh wait, it's not the same, the lancer is actually MORE ACCURATE and does MORE DMG.

    Yeah, it's got the same KPH and VKPH as the Saron and Enforcer but is pulled 2-3 times more.

    That actually means it's as OP as the PPA which had similar stats compared to the marauder/canister... or exactly what my first post in this thread said.

    Have you used one since it's velocity got silently nerfed? If the target is moving you have to lead the target just right if not you miss. So yes, skill IS involved. Or are you the average player who judges a weapon without trying it out first?

    PPA was so broken people were pulling 1/2 magriders and 1/3 harassers just to abuse the gun...

    Gatekeeper is so broken people are pulling 1/3 harassers all the time just to abuse the gun.

    why no 1/2 Prowlers you ask? well... the H-GK is almost identical, so there's no point in pulling one. plus at the ranges the GK is seeing use, there's almost no chance of return fire. ;)

    You know why there's a mob of players who are asking for a nerf? Because the weapon needs a nerf. The only people who are shedding the big salty tears are the overly entitled TR who know their broken weapon is going to wind up on the chopping block soon. Why do I call YOU the TR overentitled? Because right now you have the best anti-vehicle weapon for long range, and you STILL have the gall to think you deserve the weapon because you don't have any other long range weapons. WAKE UP... neither do the other factions. Get used to it, stop crying your salty salty tears, and know that soon you will be forced to get used to it because your gatekeeper is going to get rammed from behind by Captain Nerf.

    I don't agree or disagree per se, but would that make Gatekeeper, in theory combining both KPH and KPU stats, worse than Enforcer/Saron?

    I mean, if it's pulled 2-3 times as much but kills the same, does it mean it's less efficient, since to match a single Enforcer/Saron, you need to pull at least 3 Gatekeepers?

    And BTW, it got stealth nerfed.

    Quite right, the Gatekeeper just has the velocity it needs to be effective at range.

    Can the Saron have its original velocity restored then?

    So these are the usage stats since the GK came out. The GK-H is pulled 500+ more a day and the Gk on the prowler around 300 more a day on average. Can you see the problem?

    The more people use it the more it's performance should diminish.

    Take for example the PPA over the last 30 days.

    Amazingly it still has 71.63 KPH vs the Canister's 97.14 and Marauder's 109.7 KPH.

    Yet the PPA has an average play time of 7.1h vs the Canister's 21.3h and Marauder's 25.1h play time and are you really going to say that the PPA is even remotely close to those other two as the KPH stats would have you believe?

    The same thing was happening with the burst weapons pre-buff. They had a KPH that could keep up with many of the best in class weapons, but them being used drastically less than those best in class weapons means that in comparison they were very weak.

    It's pulled more because it's fun, and easier to use, but the stats don't make it any more powerful at all.
    Because it's seen more, idiots complain.
