WHY DID THE LMG CHNAGES GET CANNED

    Why did you cancel these changes????

    These should be number one priority over anything ELSE.

    At the very least remove 0.75 from LMGS NOW, and add other changes later.

    0.75 LMGS are so brokenly OP.

    No one wants to fight Vanu because of there stupidly OP broken AADADADADA LMG heavies.

    The heavies move much slower anyway because of the overshields. If the hitting the heavy is an issue with that factored in, you just suck at aiming. The only thing making heavies powerful is the actual overshield making them live longer.

    Because they only announced changes to make people shut up, treating the issue like a momentary hype. Expecting that most complainers are just riding the hype train and will forget about everything as they soft pedal the issue like nothing happened.

    Also they just don't the issue is dire enough. So what if one faction has slightly better LMGs in certain circumstances, it's nowhere near total breakdown like people claiming it is. So it's low on their priority list.

    I expect most of their team is working on ANTs at this time, and things that are currently on the roadmap are just some crumbs so the community doesn't feel like nothing is being done for 6 more months, like it was the case with OMFG and PS4.

    Flawed logic is flawed. Both are variables.

    yeah honestly the LMGs arnt really an issue that needs addressed personally i think the only issue is blown out of proportion by Vanu currently having the most pop and the Vanu heavy assault being the most popular infantry unit to use on the battlefield so you come across the weapon more as to where saying you were fighting TR your likely to come across alot of heavys but there will also probably be alot more medics on the battlefield aswell.

    Every time I see someone complain about strafe spam they must be either a sniper (which it wouldn't matter most times) or they just have to be fishing for a reason why they keep dying.

    Minor hint, the .75 isn't why you died.

    Someone in another thread did the math and when a heavy uses his over shield with a 0.75 weapon, which is very likely, his strafe movement becomes 0.62. A small advantage to say the least.

    Vanu LMGs may seem "OP" due to a combination of things, including the over shield, but not from the 0.75x alone.

    As stated above, the 0.75 isn't why you died.

    Lol sure. Skill has nothing to do with why most people get rekt by the orion. You give that gun to someone who truly ducks and they will have a ****** KDR, give it to a really good player and he'll get a good KDR...... that's just how it is.

    Don't blame Orion, blame other mediocre LMGs. That's the way it goes in any asymmetric game that's poorly handled: You use what's best before it's nerfed, just like OKW in CoH.

    You're missing the point. Both skill and weapon are the variables. If there's no skill, even OP weapon will be useless. If the weapon is total crap, even the godlike player will have trouble using it. Using anything in this game requires a certain amount of skill, it doesn't change the fact that some pieces of equipment are better than others.

    Yea, someone thing will always be on top, stat wise. With your logic we should continuously nerf the weapons that have the most kills until we end up all shooting blanks and grenades are exchanged to non lethal pillow bombs.

    Also while we're at it, the top players on the leader boards should all have their weapons nerfed so the new players can get kills :D

    Uh - no. My logic is that weapons need to be sidegrades to each other. Too weak - buff, too strong - nerf, doesn't fit - rework. Something will be on top, true. It's hard to create an ideal system, but that should be the goal.

    75% ADS on LMGs is a special case because it removes the one downside a HA is supposed to have - reduced mobility.
    Changes that were on PTR weren't direct nerfs either. 75% ADS removal was compensated by buffs in other areas.

    So basically everything needs to be the same to you.

    LMG .75 ADS is a faction trait, while you're at it why don't we lower the damage on NC LMGs and lower the magazine size on the TR LMGs. Also, removing .75 ADS wont be the saving grace that you whiners believe it to be, Vanu HAs will still be the same as they have ever been.

    and while we are at it:
    for carbines and assault rifles: give vanu 5 more rounds per mag and lower the damager per shot for the TR from 143 to 125 so that all weapons will have the same ttk and the same damage per mag. If 0,75ads is that unfair to the other factions than its unfair for vanu to have the lowes damage per mag carbines and ARs, with the fastest damage drop of over range. They share the same ttk with the NC carbines and ARs but TR is allowed to have orion copies for all classes by default. totally fair.

    But imo: let it like it is. stop whining.

    mere 0.75 ADS is not even an issue specially when shields are active, problem is with your aim.

    I believe that different tools used by the same person should have similar performance. And that advantages in one areas need to come with disadvantages in other areas.

    If 75% ADS is VS faction trait then how come that every other faction and NS have lots of weapons with 75% ADS? Is Jaguar a VS weapon now?

    "We whiners" don't need a "saving grace", what we ask for is equality.

    I suspect that is very true, but it is also missing the point as well.

    Personally I think the primary issue with HAs is medikit spam, and I don't think removing 0.75 is absolutely needed..... having said that though, the Test LMGs changes seems quite well thought through.

    However 0.75 ADS on an LMG (especially a nicely handling one) is definately an advantage, and there is precedent for this as the TR don't get extra mag size on LMGs (as it would likely be too powerful).




    So equally which would be better? An Anchor with 0.5 ADS or 0.75 ADS.
