A few things i don't understand

    1. Why does some maps put generators that allow vehicles through on the outside of the wall where players are attacking. Its on amerish not sure of name. Its like in medevil times when a city puts all food and weapons outside the castle walls during siege. Makes no sense.

    2. Spawn beacons are suppose to provide some alternative and secret way of spawning in. But is there a **** beam of light shinning up to the sky. Im sure in future times, with hovering tanks, a less revealing beacon would make more sense.

Why would bases that can be stormed by land need any quick jump ports to the inside of it. This allows players attacking to quickly raid the buildings.

Any commander in real life would never design or make such things, and though they allow for great gameplay, i am sure there is a way to preserve game play mechanics and not using such lame ways.

    1) Because the bases are built to provide interesting gameplay scenarios, not to represent the best defense strategy. If that was the case, all of the generators would be in the spawn room.

    2) Who said they're supposed to be secret? The enemy needs to be able to find and take out hostile spawns in their territory. And since it's not as big as a bus, it needs to be evident in other ways.

    1) The facilities youre fighting over arent military installations, they were originally civilian biuldings.

    2) Becuase finding a spawn beacon would be nigh on impossible otherwise.

I understand fully the game play mechanics by placing things where they do. But it makes little sense. Its like playing a fishing game using dynamite. IT happens but its not really fishing.

You're going to have to justify that analogy a little.

You're talking about Lithcorp Fortress, right?

Because as a dude said above its supposed to give interesting gameplay otherwise the walls would have to be destructible or the gens to be in the spawn room...

Spawn beacons are supposed to send a beam above to the orbital ships in order to send reinforcments your character is supposed to jump from orbital ships not just spawn in the sky as it looks...and they have to give some signals...doesnt that make sense to you?

you think the stuff from the attacking perspective you can also go to the defencive spots just as quickly...

This is not a game for real life war simmulation dude...if simulation is what you want go play Arma 3

    ...beacons...

Do you even know what this is?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beacon

"A beacon is an intentionally conspicuous device designed to attract attention to a specific location."

You don't put it down to have a secret location where players just happens to pop into existence from thin air, it's intended to be a navigational beacon for your allies to drop in on from orbit - the in-game lore would literally be the soldiers being 'rebirthed' in the pods stored in low orbit and then dropped on the battlefield, onto a specific location indicated by the beacon you placed.

Where you got the idea that it was supposed to be secret, I have no idea. Cloaked Sundies can be secret, beacons are intentionally designed to give away their locations for your allies to find - hostiles finding them is just an unfortunate side-effect.
