Is anyone with an AMD cpu getting good performance in planetside2?

    my specs
    CPU: a8-3870k OC(3.4ghz)
    GPU:7770
    mobo: asrock a75 extreme6
    ram: 4gb gskill 1866

My performance is "ok" but i dont like my current performance.

If u guys have any tips on what to upgrade, plz let me know.

My daughter is running a similar setup with decent results. I would recommend some tweaks since that is not a high end setup. I would recommend either overclock that cpu to at least 4ghz+ or get one that can and then consider a video card. Vid card wont do much without more cpu ghz.

I running FX4300 @ 4.75, 12gb ram and 7850 and it runs extremely well but i still tweak to keep the minimum fps optimal. Mainly shadows, terrain, foliage and particles turned down.

Overclocking done wrong will most likely lead to those little instability problems so many people are experiencing.

A lower resolution brings the best benefits. Try the 13xx and the 16xx settings and stick with the more tolerable one. You can also try a lower render quality, 85% doesn't look that ugly and helps a bit.

Furthermore, try the search bar for this forum. There are tons of tips. Stick to the more recent ones (Dec 2013 - now). No need to repeat ourselves all the time.

I get great performance out of my FX-6350.
