Still investigating hitches - here's how you can help

I, too, am experiencing this hitch. At first I assumed it was a massive drop in FPS. It happens at least once or twice every hour of game play.

Yep still getting them at my end on both LIVE and PTS. I'm on miller character name is blueangelofdeath. Specs can be found by going to my fan page.

EDIT I started having hitches since the ESF update came out.

Repeated hitches, usually at the worst of times.

Seems to be pretty random but annoying. Hitch, blackscreen, and gets back to normal after a couple seconds.

Just wanted to be sure it was the same thing.

Quite frequent hitches, often but certainly not always when turning around. I tried the userfences setting you suggested before but instead of big hitches, I got a constant stutter.

I get freezeframes at random that last for something like 0.5-1.5 sec.

I experience hitches of half a second or longer every hour; sometimes it is more frequent.

I'm glad you're focusing on addressing this. I have died many times as a result of hitches.

I get them somewhat frequently during play. I haven't been able to reproduce it nor noticed a clear pattern. I have a feeling (not reliable) that it happens more when I am flying.

I get this thing where my screen freezes permanently but i can interact/shoot with everything (Meaning: Frozen screen but when i left click the gun sound can be heard and i can do everything but with a non changing screen)

Not sure if this is what you are referring to but it happens rarely

Used to happen to me very often like a months ago, still happens but not as much for the past two weeks maybe a couple time per hour in the worst case.

Happened twice last night.

Possibly a hint:

I don't know if other people have noticed this, but the hitch seems to recover in exactly the same way that a brief connection loss does. By that, I mean that if you're in a vehicle and you get the hitch, it 'shakes' immediately afterwards, just as a galaxy or sunderer does when it changes ownership.

Maybe you're looking for graphical causes when the problem could be connection / networky?
