Just installed a ramdisk program and played PS2 from it to see if i got any notable gains over my SSD. While probably not practical for most (ps2 would require about 13-14gb of your ram for the disk) I did see a few FPS gain. Not really worth the hassle though unless you have a ton of unallocated ram like myself (32GB).
Was gonna say, you would need a **** ton of RAM to do that. most people arent gonna buy 32 Gbs, and having it be deleted every time your PC restarts does not add to the acessability.
I also use a Ramdisk for certain stuff but I doubt running PS2 from Ramdisk will gain you any performance improvements (FPS) over running it from a SSD or even a HDD, besides improved load times.
