Ohhh look, its another one of these "what killed me last" noob threads. Can't handle being out skilled, resort to crying on the forums.

Well, ESF's are getting a mobility nerf, so?
why should liberators retain their ability to Dog fight ESF's?
  3. Stride

I don't see how those two sentences relate to each other.

Your argument is strong - just as much as your attempt to troll.. oh wait, you were being serious o_O

Yeah you're great here, keep it up cupcake, I see why the forums have issues now.

Adding a bit more HP and (big time) buffing the rear tail gun so the lib has a surviving chance would make the vehicle and it's design make more sense to me. A few peeps here seem to agree, I'll go with that. Also while on the subject of the Dalton, I think it should get a slight buff - a 2-shot clip IMHO.

You sir haven't a clue what's being debated here nor the argument, you just want to post-rant and not bring anything to the table, I didn't even mention nor was I going to mention [DONT even start with "air escort for libs] but apparently you assume everyone's thoughts with your special ability.. heh.

My suggestions seem to make sense for some and I like the current feedback (excluding yours)

ESFs have an anti lib nose gun (the stock one) and are gaining an anti lib secondary. You just have to lower you're a dogfighting ability for better anti lib duty, a tradeoff if you will.
  8. joe smo

Someone has not been in a dog fight with a liberator... they are surprisingly capable of keeping at lest one gun on you not matter what you do. (front, bottom, rear)
  9. WaiZen

If you get killed by a dalton, you most likely deserved it. Personally, I haven't been killed by one for months, and I usually consider libs free exp. Lol

I further fail to see the relevance of your reply and the earlier two sentences.

Leave the libs alone, if you are close enough to get shot out of the sky then shame on you. You should never try to out DPS a lib, you should always hit and run on them.

At lest when I fly the the dog fighting load out (AB tanks + rotary) is much better, IMO.
Why? Because despite using A2AMs and the default nose gun is great at dealing with them at range BUT, if they choose to fight they tend to fly right up on you and are surprisingly capable of keeping at lest one gun on you at all times no matter what you do assuming they grabbed a tail gunner. (front, bottom, rear just to clarify)
  13. The King

So what is the use of the back gun?
And you know what? The majority of ESF pilots can take out any liberator. Those who cannot, they are on here complaining. I suck big time in my ESF, and yet, I can kill them relatively easy. I know you're not a good pilot, at all. Try to join up with a liberator pilot and try both of those guns. You'll see that the default shredder is the best of the 3.
What the OP is requesting is some artificial limitations, especially on what planes can do today.

It's why they're nerfing the rotational axis of the gun to aim only down (And lose functionality if it is forcefully rolled out of that range)...so that the tail gun is more depended upon rather than the belly gun when it comes to shooting down enemy ESFs.
  15. FrontTowardEnemy

The problem here is that the devs gave the Lib a GUN for the bombardier's weapon instead of actual bombs/air to ground missiles like they should have. If it were bombs instead of cannon rounds, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

And they do, noting that you used the plural form.

I've been getting into flying a lot more, and it's a high skill business. There are players that will wreck me+gunner in lib while they fly an ESF, those same players will wreck me and my gunner when we fly ESFs against their libs.

Dalton as an A2A is very difficult and requires the following; a good gunner to make the shot, a good pilot to make the shot available, and a less competent ESF pilot to present such a shot. Dalton rounds do not inherit Lib momentum, the gunner has very little way to tell what this momentum is, so a good ESF pilot will use this. Ensure the libs flight vector never intersects your ESF. Ensure your ESF's path is tricky to track.

Oh, and that walker tailgun will mulch ESFs if they get too close as well.

Higby during a battle on Jaegerson. He's usually pretty friendly about answering questions even if they're from filthy Vanu or the best and stronk Terran Republic.

I don't know if Miller is just different from all other servers, but AA Daltons doesn't seem to be a problem at all.
Sure they can one shot you once in awhile if they get lucky, or you do something stupid. But good on them then, it's a very difficult skill to master. I use almost all of my game time in an ESF, and i see no reason to change the Dalton vs. air.

Yeah, they're as terrifying as they are avoidable.

Just assume every Lib has one, and don't get close enough for them to use it. When their belly starts to move in your direction, its time to GT*O.
