Why NC specialized weapons nerf

    lots of words for a bunch of nonsense.

    compare shotguns to SMGs. from 0-8m the shotgun always wins, and from 9 to about 30m where the SMG will always win. it works the exact same way.

    also you're out of your mind comparing two mercies to an LMG. Most LMGs are in the 1600s for DPS, each Mercy is 1014 DPS. Even the CARV/MSW-R/Orion only do 1787.

    The difference in Max vs Max is that at 9m+ the NC Max usually has enough time to make a decision - he can retreat, hide, charge in, charge out, do lots of things. Against a soft target an SMG or LMG can drop you faster than you can react, even at 30m. Against a TR/VS Max the NC Max almost always has the capability to retreat and survive, or charge in and instagib. OTOH Dual NC Max Shotguns, each doing the full DPS of an Infantry shotgun, can faceroll an enemy Max almost before he can react and certainly before he can make a choice to retreat/hide/charge away/etc. And, frankly, throughout all of these discussions I don't recall seeing anybody saying that NC Max shouldn't win a face to face confrontation at 5m against a TR/VS Max, they just shouldn't faceroll them in less time than it takes to blink (let alone turn and run away).

    EACH Mercy does ~1015 DPS, DUAL Mercy does ~2030 DPS, which combined is slightly more than an LMG and EXACTLY why I compare it to an LMG. Except with worse accuracy, no ADS, and no attachments worth mentioning.

    The difference is that the Max has to give up mobility, accuracy, and AV capabilities in order to go Dual Mercy and get a slight damage bonus over HA. And that extra damage doesn't mean squat when you're missing more bullets because of your worse CoF/lower effective accuracy. The Max also has to pay twice as many certs/SC to get two weapons (unless he stays with the default weapon, in which case he's still paying just as much as an HA to wind up with what is effectively a single gimpped weapon in accuracy).

    There's a HUGE disparity there. There's no reason why an NC Max should get two fully functional infantry weapons, with the most important attachments for them, while TR/VS have to settle for two guns each worse than a frikin' Beamer pistol (that's right, the fast firing multi-barrel mini-chaingun Mercy does 1015 DPS, the pathetic Beamer pistol does 1255 DPS), they have worse accuracy than most any mid-range gun, they can't ADS, and they don't get any of the attachments that make Mid-range guns useful. Which is exactly why TR/VS Maxes tend to close range, so they can hit their target.

    TR/VS Maxes have needed some serious buffs for their weapons for a long time. There's no reason they shouldn't be feared just as much as NC Maxes. Instead enemies literally run towards them so they can faceroll them with a shotgun or literally clip through them so they can't fire back. Even with a DPS buff of 50-100% the NC Max would still faceroll them at under 5m and have a chance of escaping from them at ranges beyond that.



    TLDR: NC Maxes get two fully functional shotguns, one for each arm. They also get the two most important attachments for shotguns (Extended Mag and Slug).
    TR/VS Maxes get what is effectively one half of an LMG for each arm. In addition they get NONE of the accuracy and NONE of the important attachments for an LMG (no scope, grip, laser sight, compensator, nothing that's actually important).
    Imbalance = Obvious

    dunno what to say other than keep crying. when flamethrowers get released you can complain about those too, they'll be a hell of a lot better for killing MAXes due to not doing small arms damage and have double the effective range and >4.6 times the damage per magazine.

    Flamethrows, at least, won't be limited to one faction. Which means it'll probably be the NC who do the crying when their precious BioLab Defenses no longer work because they can be cracked by TR/VS.

    wouldn't know, haven't done one in forever. I do hope they will at least speed the NC MAX up to TR/VS levels once weapons blatantly superior to scattercannons are available to everyone, it won't make any sense anymore.

    1. 2-5 kills per mag and in that short time is often more than VS or TR max do in their life span, so you should not complain. especially in a bio lab or facility, you almost instant kill other maxes.

    2. the supercool ultra accurate TR MAX which you guys always talk about does only exist in your imagination. don't expect to kill anything on more than 20 meter with less than a full magazine.

    and just to say it, our super cool 150round mag has very little bullet damage but higher rate of fire. the overall damage/firing time almost equals the mercy. that is the reason why nobody uses it.

    yep, very true.

    i calculated it some weeks ago and came to the same result. These guys don't get that it is recoil per bullet, so if you need less bullets the result is the same or even less recoil to kill an enemy. most nc's are whiners and usually grade F(or worse) in maths and comprehension.

    You mean it instagibs at 3-5m before it was 5-7 meter
    and its all in all a ******* shotgun not a gatling or a lmg

    its super accurate compared to our shotguns and btw if you know that you are able to crouch then you will see how accurate they are

    it's super low on dps compared to your shotguns, even if i crouch...

    just do it like all the other nc-guys: press f, close in, kill everything. this nerf was needed so long.

    and just to prevent further lies of you:

    the only "accurate" max weapon is the mercy, which has a 50 shot magazine and 75 with extended magazines. the tr-max weapon which people talk about here does not exist.

    of course you do that in a max crash and not run alone towards a full platoon. and just to say it, in that case the result would be the same for every max, no matter which faction or weapon. a little bit of tactical gameplay is needed in ps2 - and now even nc has to understand that ;)
