Also, Try running PS2 without GameBooster, As a few people are saying it's not needed after GU6 and can cause some overloading problems, I havn't had this myself yet but might work for you!
Tried what dandestroyer said, played around 40 minutes before crashing/freezing I am not sure if it was the changes (Didnt use gamebooster) or the low population, but this is the longest i have been able to play (Usually it crashes after 20 minutes) I need to test it tonight at prime time. Also i think is weird how it crashes i mean, the image freezes but the voice chat still works, i can hear people on it.
sorry to say, but crashing has not stoped for me tryed all your suggestions now - even the 500m viewdistance... SOE do sumthing please!!! (edit) btw, i always turn ingame voice off
