Use a Shotgun or Go Home?

If you keep running around corners without a care in the world your gonna get blown away.

I like the shotgun but I like automatic weapons better. Partly for virsatility and partly because it's mroe my style. At the moment (at least for me)there are still enough carbine, lmg, etc users to make the shotgun less viable for me then going around with a carbine and being able to take on both crowds with more success than with a shotgun.

Or just be like me and use slugs for slug sniping as LA. Especially effective as VS.

I'm willing to accept OSOK at point blank range ... Thing that chaps my @ss is that shotguns retain effectiveness to short and medium range. There's almost no downside to shotguns any time you're indoors - any if you're outdoors, you should probably be in a vehicle.
