I too am having this issue with a i5 4670, its something to do with the cpu I assume. PS2 is unplayable at the moment.
I think I may be that person to debunk the 'Intel is broken' theory. No changes in performance on my end: i7 4790S GTX 590 16 GB DDR3-1333 Windows 7 64 bit (64 bit PS2 client)
It finally just happened once to me, but it seems it was not a local issue, because others in my squad had the same problem - same exact time.
Same here... 4sec freezes near zergs but then long periods with no freeze, then loads on the bounce! And one CTD for good measure lol Same PC since release, AMD CPU / AMD GPU
Same. Game has never frozen before. I've noticed also that since the patch, my CPU usage skyrocketed. My CPU usage before the patch use to max at 40%, 50% at most. Just froze up mid game play. Had to Ctrl-Alt-Del and kill the process. i7-3930K @ 3.8GHz 3 x GTX 680s 64 GB RAM DDR3-1600 X79 Asus Sabertooth Win 7 Pro SP1 x64
Yeah, I just experienced this, wont be playing til its fixed i5 2500k (energy saving nonsense turned off) , win7 x64, 16GB RAM, GTX 770
I'm having freezes (2-5 seconds) every few minutes since today's patch. First time I encounter this kind of problem. I'm on AMD too, still having the issue. Friend of mine with a Core-i5 has the same problem. So it's neither AMD nor Intel related.
After todays patch the game is completely broken for me aswell.. Same problem as (almost) everyone else. Massive freezes of 5-10 secs. So far it seems as if its everytime Im near a bigger fight (48/48+). Wont be playing again until this have been fixed. i5-2500K 8 GB RAM GTX 570
POSSIBLE SOLUTION (at least for me): Are you by any chance using WiFi? Because I disabled WiFi and connected via LAN cable to my router, now the freezes are gone!
