I'm a lone wolf. I have no allies. I have no gunners for my liberator.
  2. Kristan

Why should I go for that when I have tools that designated to deal with air, that happen to be ineffective against Dalton Liberator?

Libs feel so comfortable now since G2A launchers nerf.
  3. Gundem

Of course when a single pub tries to "Be the hero" I single him out and destory him.

But what if there were, I don't know... Two heavies with Lock-ons?

How about 3? Since the Liberator is a 3 man vehicle, I'll put it up against 3 people

So, it takes 5 Lock-on missiles to kill a Lib. So, two bursts and you've got a dead Lib.

Now, lets say those people were to all pull Burster MAX's?

If he even came near he would take so much damage it wouldn't even be funny.

Three Skyguards? That sure is on tall glass of NOPE.

Three ESF's? At this point your embarasing yourself. It's like, what better way to say royally say "Scew you" then pulling 3v1 ESF to Lib? A single ESF can already down the best of Lib crews, and you even thing for a moment it will survive three?

The problem is that you aren't coordinating your attacks. If you got together 3-5 people at once and attacked simultaneously, it would either kill the Lib outright or damage it so severely that he would only return if he had a deathwish.

Trust me, teamwork is more OP then any Skyguard or Burster. I don't even go near Towers or Amp Stations since they decided that for some reason, the Tank Buster needed a few nerfs just for good measure. Even before the nerf, going up against more then 2-3 Base Turrets was borderline suicide, now I can't even face a single one without losing 3/4 of my HP.

And Flak was supposed to be some sort of "Deterrent". Lol.
  4. Gundem

There in lies your problem. This is a MMO, with about 6000 people per server.

If you've really got a problem with air, get 3-5 people together and form a dedicated AA outfit or something. Multiple sources of AA focused on a single source will kill an ESF, Lib or Galaxy. Liberators have it even worse in fact, as it's a lot harder to escape AA as such a large, fat, slow target.
  5. Kristan

Again. I'm a lone wolf. I have no coordination with the others. But why others that might be at the same squad or even outfit not doing what I'm doing? It's like I'm the only one who knows what to do? But I can't win this war on my own. Gosh.
  6. Kristan

So what? This game crashes like hell, ruining outfit play for me. When we're in the middle of important attack and my game goes CTD I'm getting really pissed. So no, I'd rather stay a lone wolf.
  7. Flashtirade

So you, a lone wolf, are complaining about people using teamwork to kill you with a multicrew vehicle?

There's your problem right there... Any thing that costs resources is a force multiplier. You should not be able to take out a lib easily, especially by yourself.

The only time I have had problems with Libs is during off hours when they roam around taking on small squads. 1 Lib can ruin a small squads day. But then again 1 burster MAX can take scare them off pretty fast, and if you are in a squad that doesn't have some sort of AA available you are either impatient and not getting out of the libs sight until they get board and leave, or you are thinking you can be Rambo by trying to take it out alone.

There is not much penalty for respawning so you should:
    • respawn somewhere else if he has you pinned in a spawn room
    • respawn and pull an ESF or a lib with a buddy
    • respawn pull a skyguard
It seems like the complaints about the dalton are coming from players that think that a lib should be taken out with out any effort at all. Sorry if you are running around in full AI or AT with out any AA to cover the air, that is a L2P problem, same with getting shot out of your ESF by a Dalton. A little warning should be going off in your head, when that lib turns its belly up, that you should pull back, chances are you already scared them away from the battle and that's about as good as a full kill.

Dalton is fine as it is.
  9. Kristan

Well, I wouldn't complain if I'd be the only one who get pinned in spawnroom. But there are other players, you know, they could pull G2A too. But they don't.
  10. Kristan

Again. This game crashes, so I can't go for teamwork. But there are other players that not contributing in attempt to kill that Liberator. That's my main concern.
  11. Flashtirade

Then you should try to get them to. Telling them in /yell or /re will give you varied results, but the point is that you shouldn't expect to be able to deal with the problem yourself. That kind of infantry-hero pandering is a big danger to any game that attempts to do combined arms.
  12. MasonSTL

Then why should the lib be nerfed if it is the game crashing or you and your team not going for AA? It's not hard to join a squad and it makes traveling the map waaay easier and faster than solo.
  13. iller

I'm gonna go with this one right here.
c'mon SoE.... start making some sense
  14. Ronin Oni

He's talking about a Lib escorted by 2 ESF's... in which OF COURSE a single ESF shouldn't be able to do anything.
  15. Ronin Oni

That's a faction problem (fellow players) not game design problem.

And a single A2Am ESF can take out Libs without much difficulty.
  16. AzureKnight

Whereas I'll agree with people saying that all you need is a decent ESF pilot to counter even the best of Lib crews, it's a rather bad reason for why the Dalton is an okay weapon.

On Connery, typical air battles are one sided zerg fits complete with 5 or so really good ESF pilots, a Gal or two, 1-5 libs, and skyguards all over the ground. Generally, there are very few people who fly since it winds down to either being outgunned and outmatched in almost every fight.

You can pick your battles, but if a base is under siege by this, or even if it's en route to siege a base, most people will say it's completely pointless to even pull air due to a fact that it just gives the enemy free XP and certs.

If you wanted to make air better, here's what you could do: Remove the skyguard, buff AA and Bursters RoF by maybe 5% and 1%-2% damage, make lock on launchers unable to lock behind shields. No AI for ESFs.

My problem with the Dalton is how accurate the gunners are. I could be running in and out of cover and a Dalton gunner still will snipe with with the gun. Reduce its projectile speed by maybe 5% and it would be a bit more difficult to use.

Game crashes makes futile to join squads. So there is no such thing as "your team". Forget about it.

The problem of Liberator that it's durable and with maxed Nano Repair and Fire Suppression it's able to just roll over the hill or break LOS using walls or buildings and fix the damage with no time, get back into battle, stomp infantry, rinse, repeat.

It's quite a luck to find a Liberator that is not covered by other ESFs.
  18. Jalek

What is this G2A that matters from a spawnroom? I've seen 2-3 burster MAX and a couple of HA's get consistently farmed by a lone liberator, with just sporadic ground vehicles showing up that get taken out quickly by the same group. If you're in a spawn room with less than a full squad, there isn't much you can do except get into other parts of the facility while it's gone repairing and try hitting it from different directions on it's next pass.

Or pull vehicles, but that's what a dalton is designed for, isn't it?
  19. Jalek

You apparently haven't used G2A lock-ons lately. If you're farming in a lib and get a lock, just break LOS, the missiles go straight line and the eaves of buildings or tree branches are pretty tough.
  20. McToast

    Moin
There are more bad players who profit from shotguns then good players who profit from a liberator. 99% of the people complaining about liberators are mediocre - average at best. They get killed by something but can't make this weapon/vehicle work for themselfes, so they cry.
1% of the guys who cry may be good players but believe in a rock-paper-scissor environment where skill shouldn't matter that much. Shotguns killing people in CQC? That's their "intended purpose" so it's ok. Dalton killing aircrafts? HELL NO! It's not its intented purpose, must be nerfed!
