Guide Norikae was chatting with two players (Iziimao and Mascara) last Thursday and they came up with story. Here it is for all of you to enjoy!

The Gloop Maiden and The Skeleton King, by Iziimao, Mascara and Norikae

The goblin stirred the pot attentively, standing on her toes to peer over the huge cauldron. Her arms stretched way up to hold the big spoon that stirred the gloppy goop.
Now you may not have met a female goblin, but I have. They do exist, but are very rare. This one was known as “The Gloop Maiden.”

The Gloop Maiden saw that the gloppy goop was doing amazingly well and she hummed a little tune to herself, happy and satisfied. She was making a horrible potato pulp, but as you know, goblins like that sort of thing. Her little song went something like this...."Potato pulp, potato pulp, When we eat you, we go gulp! It's not so nice, it's needs some spice, ohhhhhhoooohhh. Potato pulp!"

After stirring the awful potato pulp for a while, The Gloop Maiden settled down beside her cauldron to take a little rest. Making her famous awful potato pulp was hard work.
The Skeleton King had stood all this time just out of sight around the corner. Let me tell you a little bit about this Skeleton King. You see, he was A Former Goblin King out for revenge. A Pretender To The Kingship had challenged him to pick the biggest boogie from his nose. The Goblin King had dug (digged/duggen) too deep, and died as a result. He wanted to challenge the one who stole his throne via this devious plot. But he also really didn’t like the Maiden because she had flesh on her bones, and her mush looked quite the same, you see.

So here we have the former Goblin King, who is now the Skeleton King as an unfortunate result of his death from auspicious booger picking. He also has a baneful desire for revenge on the Pretender To The Kingship who now sits on his throne. And he wants The Gloop Maiden, not just for her gloop: he also wants her flesh.

The Skeleton King crept up to the cauldron. He thought he was doing it silently but his bones clacked just a little bit. The Gloop Maiden startled awake and saw the Skeleton King looming over her. He menaced her with his sword and his sharp crown and clacked out between his teeth, "Give me the gloop. And then die!”

The Gloop Maiden darted up, dashed out of the way of the sword and crown, and seized the huge spoon from the Gloop Cauldron to defend herself, Gloop splashing all over the floor.
The Skeleton King slipped on one of the puddles of Gloop. Crash! Bang! Down he went. Even bones hurt when they are whacked hard, you know. The Skeleton King couldn't avoid getting Gloop on his hands as he slipped and slid all over the floor. The Gloop Maiden couldn't help herself, she started laughing.

The Skeleton King managed to sit up, and in trying to wipe some of the Gloop from his eyes (how a skeleton can see without eyeballs, I have no idea), he got it in his mouth. He tasted it. (Don't ask me how a skeleton can taste, but he could!) “MMMMMMMM!!! This is yummy!" he exclaimed.
The Gloop Maiden said, "There's a whole cauldron of it right here." The Skeleton King got up very carefully and slid his feet along the floor to keep his balance and leaned over to peer into the cauldron.


"So there is! So there is.... " he said with a happy and thoughtful tone. The two made a deal: if The Skeleton King would wash up, The Gloop Maiden would give him a free meal each and every day, and two on Frostfell!!

In two days from now, on Thursday January 18th, Good Old Braxlle the dward will certainly require the assistance of adventurers for his very exotic needs. You'll be able to meet him in Butcherblock Mountains near the entrance to Greater Faydark around 12:00pm (noon) Pacific / 8:00pm UK / 21:00 EU / 22:00 Moscow.

On Thursday January 25th, Bidgett Boomtrigger will be looking for assistance in the Ever Deep, dangers lurk below so beware adventurers it may prove dangerous ! She will certainly be seen in Greater Faydark around 12:30pm (noon) Pacific / 8:30pm UK / 21:30 EU / 22:30 Moscow.
