* Enoibia Sorry I missed your post , Most times I will try to creatively give you hints if at all possible! Tho I cannot tell you outright which quest is being performed, usually it's an easy guess * Seefar that was wonderful of you to make copies! What a totally awesome gesture.
I've made a nabridged edition of your story. As you wished, I have credited the list of people, and I sent them all* a complimentary copy. I also put some on the broker (it's necessary to use a nadvanced search for either item type 'Player-written Book' or for items for sale by me... player-written books don't show on the broker at all, otherwise, which is not great for us budding Norrathian authors!). I think I already said this before, but if anyone wants a free copy of either this or your 'Song the Great Divide' then they need only request this from me, preferably via Norrathian Express (to make sure I don't forget)! * all but two, that is, who the mailbox told me it was 'unable to find'.
I received a messenger from our secret friend. Unfortunately, a few gremlins have gotten into the works, and their arrival has been postponed until the gremlin situation is under control. I am assured that their visit will come Soon (tm), so as soon as I get word, I will be certain to let you all know! Our friend in Greater Faydark is still seeking assistance this evening, so keep your ears keenly attuned around the scheduled time (7 pm PST) to hear his cry!
Seefar, that is so kind of you. I'm sorry I didn't see your message here until just now but I have been having getting to this forum for some reason. I did reply to your mail in game but I didn't get onto my main account yesterday. Hopefully, we will bump into each other in game soon.
I've only just seen this as I've been having difficulties getting to this forum for some strange reason. I was in game for several hours on Saturday but I didn't see any in game announcement and sadly, I didn't get any email notification so I missed the axe quest. Hopefully, it will be offered again soon.
I'm awfully sorry to hear that you missed our friendly axe-seeker and his companion this time around, but I'll be sure that we pass along the news the next time that he's expected to pass through the area.
Hello my HoFlings, Just a friendly heads-up for the Guild Hall and Home Tours coming up soon. 1) You as the owner of the home or a member of the guild must be there to show me around. Guides cannot enter homes or guild halls unescorted. (I guess we turn into Freebloods temporarily!) 2) I simply log in and announce I am ready to start. Then I write down the names of the people who let me know that they want to show their homes. We go in the order that I receive the names. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes to get through a tour of a guild hall or home. 3) Everyone is welcome to come along on the tours. It's fun! 4) Everyone is invited to show their home or guild hall. One home or one guild hall per person per tour. It's fine if your home is not published. Please be ready to give very clear directions to your home in the general channel, whether published or not, when your turn comes. 5) Say nice things. Encourage new decorators. We all started somewhere. 6) No stories are told. No gifts are given. No quests are done. This is simply for the pleasure of hanging out with other decorators and getting new ideas, encouraging each other, and having fun. December 5th, 2015: starting at 1 PM and ending at 3 PM Pacific time: Home Tours. December 20th, 2015: starting at 2 PM and ending at 4 PM Pacific time: Guild Hall Tours. I am looking forward to the tours!
I took my socks off (so I could use such big numbers) and came up with: Home Tours: 05Dec2015 21:00-23:00 UTC Guild Hall Tours: 20Dec2015 22:00-24:00 UTC (I think that's right.)
Hey Seefar So lovely to see you in game yesterday and thank you so much for the books. It was nice of you to stay for a little tour of our guildhall too. Happy hunting, friend!
It's beginning to look a lot like... WHAT?! ALREADY?! Folks around Norrath seem to be preparing for Frostfell, and it appears as though a number of them could use a helping hand! Keep alert around the following times this week if you're in the giving mood: Monday, November 30th, around 1 pm PT - An entrepreneur is looking to stock up on some winter necessities in the Commonlands. Tuesday, December 1st, around 7 pm PT - With holiday parties just around the corner, one bard is planning ahead! Artisans should seek him in Antonica for more details. Wednesday, December 2nd, around 2 pm PT - Decorating for holiday guests has one ratonga in a dither. Find him in New Halas if you can help! Thursday, December 3rd, around 11 am PT - The holidays will be very sad indeed for a family of frogloks from the Feerrott, unless the heroes of Norrath are willing to help. (Cancelled.) Thursday, December 3rd, around 6 pm PT - A hunter is wishing to stock up in time for the holiday feasts, but lacks one very important tool. Interested artisans should seek him on the Isle of Mara. As always, I'm sure that I haven't eavesdropped on overheard been given all the news of the week, as sometimes things just crop as the situation demands, so be sure to listen for other cries for assistance in the days ahead.
Hello, Hoflings! I've received a few notes today from the rumor mill to share with you! First, if you should find yourself in the Greater Faydark tonight, 12/02/2015 around 7 pm PST, you might encounter someone who is ready to help you look your best for Frostfell. Next, the Frostfell edition of the Guide Gazette was just released today, so be sure to check it out! Finally, a little "did you know?" for today: If you're looking for a [Guide Event] that has been advertised here in advance, you might want to make your way to the hinted location a few minutes early. Sometimes, our friends in need don't have very loud voices, so you may only hear them if you happen to be in the area. If the area happens to be so busy that there are several instances of the location, you will almost always find them in the very first instance -- so keep trying to get into that one, if you can. We're so excited that Frostfell begins soon, so be sure to watch this space for details on more coming events for Halls of Fate!
Storytime tomorrow, Friday the 4th, 2015, at 3 PM PT. Meet in Enchanted Lands, where the little halfling keeps running through my tent and campfire.
Hello HoF! First of all I wanted to say how excited I am to be able to be apart of the HoF family! I am looking forward to getting to meet the wonderful players here. Secondly, I heard a rumor that I wanted to share with you: Tuesday, December 8 at 7pm PST - A frantic gnome will be needing your help soon or his reputation will be ruined. You should look for him in Rivervale if you think you can help. Happy adventuring!
I am looking for the neb Newsie quest, when can we get a guide to come give it out in Cardin ward again?

I will check with the above listed people that they are available to show their homes. There are no rewards, other than the pleasure of hanging out with other decorators and getting new ideas, encouraging each other, and having fun. December 12th, 2015: starting at 1 PM and ending at 3 PM Pacific time: Home Tours. December 20th, 2015: starting at 2 PM and ending at 4 PM Pacific time: Guild Hall Tours. Tipple's Tummy Tussles Adventure - by Rathful, Cyliena, Tiadari, Nitestar, Dezz, Daggath, Ritmo, Lillyfoot, Noloban, Rosalynda, Mesmell, Ofogh, Kahlila, Sawdoph and Norika Deputy Tipple loved to run all around the beautiful Enchanted Lands for so many reasons: giving out messages, making deliveries, running on the beach, patrolling for void creatures, scarping off if he had snuck a bite of someone else's second breakfast, or simply running off the effects of too much coffee or too many buttermilk rolls. But most of all, Deputy Tipple loved to run home to his lovely wife Ruby Rosie Springleaf with her rosy ruby cheeks and her curly red hair, who made their home so cozy and comfortable: so many vegetables on the shelves and in the bins, pies cooling on the window sills, cheeses chilling in the ice box, and breads rising in the warming ovens.... Read More... (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Read More... (open) Read More... (close) Deputy Tipple wiped a tiny bit of drool from the corner of his mouth and pulled his attention back to the present, shaking out his list of things to do. "Papa, papa!" a little girl's voice called, little halfling feet pattering after him on the dusty road. "You forgot your elevensies!" Tipple caught up his six-year old daughter Brightstar in his strong arms.He nuzzled her nose as she giggled, her curly red ponytails poking through the slits she had cut in her straw hat.Tipple smiled at his little girl, the spitting image of his adored wife. Her eyes sparkled as she whispered, "I snuck an extra bit of pie in there for you, Papa!I made it yesterday, pear-berry with a crumb topping." Tipple hugged her tightly and set her gently down on her little feet. "I shall enjoy it to the fullest, little Brightstar of mine!" He beamed proudly at his little one, a genius if he had ever seen one. She had stood at her mother's elbow since she could walk, watching with her sparkly eyes, taking everything in, and now never needed to even look at a recipe to know how something should be made. "Bye, Papa, enjoy your run!" Brightstar waved and turned back homeward. Tipple went out of Rivervale to the Enchanted Lands proper to carry out his errands. Sometimes he just ran around keeping an eye out for any wrong doing. Other times he delivered messages all over. Sometimes he would go by the pond where Chomper lived and give the huge fish some treats. Brightstar's chutney was famous among the Halflings, so he would occasionally take some around with loaves Ruby Rosie's homemade bread. Tipple crossed the bridge, reading his list - and was spun around in a complete circle as his feet touched land on the other side. He found himself gazing into the eyes of a goblin. "Yous come wid me!" the goblin said nastily. Deputy Tipple just stood there quietly, like a little boulder. The goblin shoved him hard in the shoulder, but Tipple merely moved his shoulder slightly and turned to watch as the goblin fell past him under his own momentum into the river. The halfling deputy chuckled and nodded farewell to the goblin, turned and shook out his list yet once again, muttering, "Deliveries to Deputies Guzzlesea and Huckfar...." He set off, patting his tummy as he ran; that last helping of stew and taters, mmm, so good! And the peach pies that Brightstar had made, with freshly ground cinnamon and cardamom! He thought to himself, "Two more times extra running around the whole of Enchanted Lands oughta do it!" It was hard for Tipple not to reach into the backpack and take out one of the pies for Huckfar and eat it right then and there. But he told himself he was a Halfling of extreme self-control ... and of course, Brightstar had more pies at home, he reassured himself. He delivered the pies to very appreciative deputies and re-checked his note. "Jams to Treedin Merrythorn. Okay! Here. We. Go." He puffed a little as he jogged ... the yeast rolls with freshly churned butter last night: should he really have eaten the whole dozen? He told himself that it was really to stretch his belly for dessert. When Tipple came to the void shriekers, he went slowly and sneakily. One of them looked as if it would descend for a fight, so he tossed that one last roll of the baker's dozen to the shrieker. The shrieker flew away with the roll in its mouth and Tipple sighed in regret. And let me tell you, that shrieker was so satisfied, it went to its cave and slept for three days and three nights straight! Just as Tipple got free of the shriekers, Mutton the dog came moseying along and nudged Tipple's hand fondly. Tipple knelt down and scratched Mutton's ears. "Sorry, buddy. I tossed the roll to the shrieker." Mutton just looked at Tipple with huge sad puppy dog eyes. Tipple dug in his backpack and took out the sandwich that was for his elevensies. With a gentle regretful smile, Tipple sat down and gave the dog part of his sandwich, sharing the meat and cheese, the lettuce and the tomato, and watched Mutton enjoy the hearty bread and the little extra bit of spice in the mayonnaise. Mutton ate it all eagerly. Tipple shared his ale with Mutton, as it made him giggle every time to watch Mutton's expression. Mutton pawed Tipple's arm for more sandwich. Tipple gently pushed Mutton away. "You've had more than enough now," he said. "I will have to return home for twelvesies, as I have given you part of what I had!" Mutton pawed again. Tipple stood up, and reluctantly gave Mutton the rest of his sandwich, even the cheese. Tipple slapped his tummy, "Better for me to work this off anyway!" Mutton went and found a nice spot in the crook of some tree roots, not far from Deputy Huckfar. He snuffled a bit, turned around three times, and promptly dozed off. Deputy Huckfar nodded and smiled as Tipple ran past; Mutton was famous for working any halfling that came by. No one could resist those puppy dog eyes! Tipple soon started feeling a bit peckish. He wondered if Deputy Stoutgut had anything he could cadge off him. He didn't have any more food deliveries and no more food in his backpack, but he knew he could always offer a pie or stew or taters on the morrow in exchange. Mind made up, Tipple struck out for Stoutgut's place. As Tipple drew near and hailed Stoutgut happily, neither noticed a Runnyeye scout hiding behind a tree. "Hey! Stoutgut!" a voice shouted in a desperate tone from far away. Stoutgut turned to see what was wrong. "Over here! Need help!" the voice cried. Stoutgut got out his weapon and peered around. Tipple stayed where he was, watching the perimeter. Stoutgut started off to render aid. Tipple peered around, but didn't notice the goblin coming up behind him with a sack. The sack went over Tipple's head, his feet and hands were whipped round with cord, and Tipple felt his body lifted and trotted between two forms and assumed they were goblins from the smell. The goblins took Tipple into Runnyeye, and you know that one room in Runnyeye, where the chef is? With the little Halflings in the kettle? Yes, indeed, they took Tipple there. They whipped the sack off his head. "You WILL cook for us!" the goblins ordered. Tipple gulped ... all he does is eat! It's his sweet wife Ruby Rosie and his talented daughter Brightstar that cook! Tipple thought fast and furiously. He wasn't even good at boiling water, although he was very good at drinking tea and coffee. Just then a minotaur burst in. Another minotaur burst in. A boar came running in at top speed and collided with the minotaurs. "Hey! Dis one always deliver food! He come cook for us!" shouted the boar. "NO! Us!" shouted the goblins. "We caught him first!" The minotaurs faced off. "You stoopids. You don't know good cooking. We take him." Tipple looked around cautiously. Squeezing his eyes tightly shut, breathing a little prayer of thanks for his lovely family, he opened his eyes to see all three types of monsters scuffling. He tore the cords off with his teeth... yuck! He spat out bits of dirty twine and dry cord. He dodged a rolling goblin and sprang between the legs of the minotaur. He made like a rock and rolled underneath the feet of one of the boars. He slid underneath a table and kept going, right through the spilled stew and ale on the floor. He sprang up and ran as fast as he had ever run in his life - maybe even faster! - through the tunnels of Runnyeye, twisting this way and that, dodging the boars and goblins. He darted through the exit into the noonday sun with at least a baker's dozen of the creatures right behind him. He turned to face them and stamped his little halfling feet as fast as he could on the wooden bridge. The goblins, minotaurs and boars - oh my! - weren't prepared for the bright daylight, nor the bouncing of the wooden bridge. Most of them toppled off into the river, and as the numbers dwindled to where Tipple thought he could make it safely away, the little deputy turned a 180 and DASHED for home. The noon sun was high overhead. Deputy Tipple pounded through the Enchanted Lands, waving to all the deputies and Mutton as he passed. He caromed through his front door and slammed it shut. Ruby Rosie smiled at her husband, "Right on time as usual, dear!" and set a nice meat pastry on the table. He kissed her happily, surveying the spread. A jumjum pie sat next to a peach pie. Some goblin goulash sat next to a basket of fresh yeast rolls. Tipple poked cautiously at the crunchy bat wings that decorated a bowl and asked dubiously, "Umm, my little flower, what is this?" "Shriller Pudding Surprise, dearest!" Rosie responded. "It's a brand new recipe. Brightstar thought of it." Tipple sighed happily and patted his tummy. He would surely have to run it all off this afternoon! He pulled the chair up to the table, hefted his spoon in one hand, tucked his napkin in with his other, and dug in happily! Now you all know why Tipple runs all the time. And you also know he is very capable of Tippling it out of a bad situation in Runnyeye! Thank you so much for your attention, I hope you enjoyed the story.
I used my unpatented Narrasize Caliperometers on this marvellous chunk of prose: once again, Norika, you've excelled yourself! Do you have anyone earmarked for publishing this adventure, as yet? If not, I volunteer... to make a nabridged version. Even for stories as marvellous as yours, I'm finding that books don't sell well enough to justify two volume sets. Or one volume sets, come to think of it... P.S. I need new Caliperometers, this pair got ever so slightly orthogonally mangularised.
