Every guild should have one, it makes getting to Thurgadin much easier, especially for trades!

Well, yeah, there's the logistics of it all, but that's an incredible place you'd done! :)

You could always Betray one of your goody-two-shoes or a neutral-starting race that you made into a goody... ;->

Either the old-fashioned, relatively hard, slow Betrayal way, or buy a 50 Loyalty Token Betrayal Token and use that. Boom, instant faction (but obviously, don't use it in the Evil city where you bought it... ;->).

One thing I'd strongly recommend, though, if you ever decide to walk on the Wild Side: make SURE you have at least one prestige house, like the free 7-year Mistmoore Crags Estates (my fave; the price was right ;->) or any of the free ones with the Collector's Edition on up, so you can place portals to it in all your currently good-guy houses. 'Cause unless you're like 110, 120, you won't be able to get back into your old houses safely, especially not in Qeynos or if you're anywhere close to the Royal Level in Kelethin (New Halas, of course, really doesn't care that much, any more than Gorowyn does. Gotta love 'em!).

Well, maybe you might if you have access to a Guild Hall's housing portal, but still; saves a lot of hassle.

And don't do what I do on occasion and forget where your allegiances would lie now and walk blithely out of your prestige house, back into Qeynos (or Freeport, going the other way), and then you're wondering why the guards attack and kill your toon...

    Uwk
who dearly, dearly loves Gorowyn as a city; they don't care what alignment you are [as long as you don't do something stupid, like kill the guards], your money spends just as well as anyone else's :)

All my so-called "evil" toons live in Gorowyn, it's a great place and easy to get around not matter what your alignment. I actually made a Freeportian since last posting. I thought that since it was something I had never done, perhaps I should do it, and of course if I want those wagons I need a toon that has faction with the Freeport tradeskill people which you only get if you live in Freeport.

I had not started a toon on the dreaded island nice my first 12 years ago, and that was the Qeynos version. I really don't know why the good people (if I recall correctly) get to kill goblins and undead, but the "other" alignment has to kill quite nice people wearing green. I like green. It really is a deadfuil starter zone and I will not be doing it ever again. I got to 9 on the island, got to 10 running around and "discovering" Freeport, will go the rest of the way doing someone else's timeline, I think.

Thank you! Drop by any time you are in Halls of Fate, name is Bobbs. I have the windows to a selection of my homes in one of the houses there.

I wish we could have children (all races - not just humans!) house actors and children's items for our houses.

I put these tents on Butcherblock Dock here because they fit a number of themes. One is a tinkerer's tent, two seem to be for elves and fairies (Moonlight Enchantments?), the other is the standard Qeynos tent. It would be nice to have them all!

Found another nice tent, in Greater Faydark:

Gorowyn is the greatest. One of the guilds that I "inherited" lasted just long enough, pretty much, to get a Tier 1 Guild Hall in Gorowyn. OMG. Get a residence for an Evil in that area, and boom, you have a place for Crafting Stations and Depots. Everything else you need, pretty much, is literally right outside the door: Banker, Broker (and they'll both talk to anyone, regardless [unless you've done something silly like attack the guards...]), Fuel guy, Rush Writ dude, etc. :D

In the Tranquil Sea there are a number of these cooking pots:

This one is at - 627.51 7.54 but they are in several locations. They are quite decorative, if that is a look you are looking for, but also they work, which would be an added attraction if that was included. There are a lot of stoves, hearths, furnaces, desks, and work-surfaces which would be wonderful if they worked like normal workstations.

Or conversely, normal work stations whose appearance we could set, like with our Conjuror pets and so forth. :)

Also: if you arrange it right, if we had an item like this in game, we could set a Stove and Keg station nearby, buried/hidden/upside down/whatever so you couldn't see the actual regular station appearance, but if you hovered your cursor over the right area...or just stood close enough to it to "activate" the radius of the station, that would work. :)

Hey, Robynous! Have you SEEN the various new recipe books on the Marketplace? Looks like they took you up on some of your suggestions! :D

SUGGESTION: Thanks once again for the new books, o devs! :D

But I have another request, since I'm greedy: is there any way we can make more house items using more food/drink mats? I'm thinking specifically of the ubiquitous Baubbleshire Cabbage and Frog Legs; once you get past needing Tier 1 food/drink, there's hardly any use for those materials ever again. :-/

If we could make even a non-moving frog plushie and red cabbage from those mats, that would be awesome. :)

Thanks for the news! I will have to buy some of these! Is there a way of seeing what is actually in them? I'd be concerned that some of these are the recipes we get from expansions.

These new recipes are wonderful, and I have bought all the Forgotten recipes (even had to get more cash!), but it would be nice if they were not all using the same mats! Everything is the same level 40 stuff, it would be nice if they were spread over a few tiers - and yes, using the food mats would be great, especially as there is food! But on the whole I would rather have the recipes!

One thing I will say in defense of Freeport, though: it is the most efficiently laid out of all six of the cities. Even in Gorowyn, you still have to get up to the main things of interest (Banker, Broker, Fuel Merchant, crafting stations, housing, etc.) via straight flight or running to the teleporter or whatever. :-/

With Freeport, you come in via the World Bell to South Freeport (if you come in via the doors from The Commonlands, just take the Within Freeport Bell), and there's the Forge. A few steps in, there's the other six stations, fuel sellers for all of them (the Alchemist NPC sells both Incense and Candles), a Banker, Broker, etc., all right there. :)

    SUGGESTION:

You can put this on the Loyalty Merchant, o Devs (please let F2P folks have it, too), but I think one thing we could definitely use, either there or as a recipe (again, please make available to EVERYONE, and not 800th level), and it's probably been suggested before (if so, consider this a reminder/bump):

Light-changing Windows. Square, "tall," "wide," "Good architecture," "Evil architecture," whatever, etc., not necessarily tied to any one holiday (though that would make a nice addition to all the next books, with the appropriate frames), that would be a variation on the Cloudy Squares and Misties we have now, that as the patterns blow across the "face" of the window, have it sync with the game clock and get brighter or dimmer, or even just do a bigger representation of the "sun/moon" clock game window.

Like the effect of the Qeynos "windows" in our various houses, where the sun beams come in during the day no matter what we do to cover them up and move across depending on the hour, only not so -- pervasive. :-/

    On those rounds and half-rounds...

I was originally thinking just openings in dividers, since we kind of have "rounded" Tiles already (sigh; if they'd only done 12-sided polygons...sigh X-/), but what about half-round solids? Like how we have Blocks and Half Blocks, why not "Rounded" (sigh) and Half-Round (NOT "Short Round"!) Tiles in the Carpy recipe books (and holiday recipes? wherever there are "Rounded" Tiles? :D)? I can easily see lots of possibilities where even half burying a full Rounded Tile wouldn't work, but a nicely obvious Half Round would be perfect. :)

With that being said, o devs, if you do that, please, please, please don't make them literally half of the current "Rounded" Tiles; that would make them only 5-sided, and you know how some folks would freak out about anything with "pent-" in the name... X-P

Make 'em at least 6-sided (or 0.5 of a side for the "top," then 6 sides, then 0.5 of a side for the "bottom"? something along those lines?) and avoid a lot of headaches. :)

And of course, after further study, turns out I need to adjust my figures... 1/2 side, then 5 sides, then another 1/2. ;->
