Amen! And thanks for the reminder; I've got to grab a few of the Moonlight Grotto carpets for my younger toons if I don't want to shell out a lot of DBG getting "parachute cloaks" for them all...plus, some need to graduate up to "real cloaks" now. ;-> Uwk
This would be an easy "wish list answer" for the Devs....I think. I would like for you to recolor the Ice Brick building block set. Brick red, medium grey, tan, PINK *blushes* I know, I know, pink doesn't fit EQ2 world . This is a serious request though and I think the sets would be marketable, or if you prefer a quest reward something, holiday gift, something like that? Please, please????
To make it in pink would be good for Erollisi Day. I too would like to see it done in different colors, especially the brick red. Also the Ice Brick set in a bluish set with a hint of purple to it, that would match the Adoration tile set.
Nah, nah, nah...RECIPES. FOR EVERYONE. EVERY TIER. CRAFTABLE AT 10 OR 20 (or even lower), ARTISAN. OBTAINABLE BY EVERYONE AT ANY LEVEL. Uwk
It would be nice if there were a type of wall tile or panel that you could climb on. I got this idea from the Residence of Blades where there is a section of the wall you can climb to the second floor on. Anyway thats my 2 cents worth
Hoy! You and quite a few other folks here would looove that (yours truly included)! That would be so awesome, but I think the main issue seems to be that the devs or other Powers That Be would have to "add" the climb-ability feature to everything to make it work, like with water effects. It's one reason why we don't yet (and might not ever; sigh) have truly "swimmable" water blocks, columns, etc. :-/ Still, I can't see them fussing too much about the climbing stuff if they could plunk it down on the Marketplace and all retire to the Bahamas on the proceeds shortly thereafter; how much tougher would it be than to make a door or gate open and close? :-/ Uwk
Yeah, I'm not sure I understand the 'how' and 'why' of that stuff either, Uwk. It would have been nice to have that ladder they gave us to craft actually a climbable ladder...but at least they did give us a ladder...and hollow logs.
Ones that scale up big enough, yeah! They could've been just as "open" as other items: basically not, just an "invisible" wall/ceiling to the item, or a trick of the eye with texturing. :-/ Uwk
It would be awesome if there was a COPY option in the right click menu of both mannequins and house actors...there is this feature with player-made books. There are many times where I want to have duplicates of both mannequins and house actors. It would be nice if the copy option was available on placed house actors/mannequins. The duplicate can be for actors/mannequins in inventory but really need to be able to copy existing actors that are owned by someone else. Many times I have been asked if it is possible because they want to add guards to guild hall but the previous guild hall decorator no longer plays and new one doesn't have outfits or whatever. I duplicated someone's contest house on AB and sure would have been nice to have a way to duplicate all the dang house actors.
I'm guessing they can't give us climbable/swimmable items is because they make an area in the world, like a specific width, height, depth, climbable or swimmable, then add the wall, ladder, water, etc... (why we get the waves in the ocean we can occasionally see across the zone in) and having the programed section become moveable doesn't work for some reason, or is too glitchy to work out. It seems like it should be doable, just re-setting it to where the geometry of the item is, but I'm not a programer, so I dunno. :\ The bouncy cubes have an effect based on the geometry of the object, and that doesn't break the game, but bouncing is a new bit of code compared to swimming and climbing, so maybe it's related to how old and tangled up the coding is? o.0 It would be nice though. I'd even settle for walk-through water tiles and circles just so it would look like people were swimming in it. XD (Heck, I'd adore a full set of water texture building blocks. Could make some pretty cool fountains with water railing or poles!) If you tilt the ladder a bit, you can run up it, so it's functional, just doesn't get the climbing animation.
You might try going to some of the Moonlight Grottoes on the 20th and 21st of each month. Naimi Denmother has a GREAT write up of these on her website: http://eq2.eqtraders.com Lots and lots of plants there.
There is that forum page here on what the artists have made; they often look at suggestions folks have there, too. Uwk
You can get some palm trees of various sorts doing the Vesspyr Isle quest line to Unlock the merchant to buy these. If that helps but yes more variations and colors of Tom Greenthumb
LMAO SWTOR has all that but lacks on the depth in this game when it comes to housing but still it would be nice to see all of these things and so much more... also be nice if the in game housing editor was revamped having to go thru the EQII layout editor is just stupid implement it in the game DUH
If the DBG Powers were willing to buy it off of JesDyr (and maybe keep him available as a consultant for it) and develop it further, I think that would be ideal. Uwk
So I am working on redoing my guild hall since I moved to a t3 hall. The room working on is getting my housing portals displayed so that people can find houses of mine to tour easily. While trying to get them all labeled I thought of something that I think most decorators would find useful.... Please make housing portals right clickable with options to put in House Name and Decorator Name fields that can be set like a sign has two text fields. Could also change where to find text to be correct city (set automatically). Example: Currently ~~~~~~~ Rum Runners Cove Visit Building's Rum Runners Cove at Rum Runners Cove Portal Proposed ~~~~~~~ Marketplace Museum by Ocarinah Visit Building's Rum Runners Cove at South Freeport Portal House Name was set to "Marketplace Museum". Decorator Name was set to "Ocarinah". Decorator could be on second line and increase lines to four instead of current three.
Excellent idea, Ocarinah! Would love the ability to show house name and decorator's name in addition to house type. house owner, and house address.
Currently, you can buy duplicates of Freeport/Qeynos quest furniture from Freeport or Qeynos furniture merchants if you have done those quests. Please add this same facility to New Halas, Neriak and Gorowyn furniture merchants--I would love to be able to use more of the green and white New Halas rugs in decorating, without having to run a newbie through the starter quests all over again, and again, and again...
