I'd like some smaller insect Plushies, like Butterflies and lady bugs, maybe some pretty beetles. And I wish some of the plushies we already have (Wavryn, dragon, etc) scaled a Lot larger for some of those enormous houses we've got

There are some ladybugs available around Erollisi Day. I forget if they were on the token merchant or were from one of the races though. There are various other beetles available from another quest as well in Moors of Ykesha, though unfortunately I don't think it's repeatable. Nights of the Dead has a carrion beetle too. I'd love to see more though, in a wider variety of looks. Maybe some longer ones.

Love to have a plushie that looks like the Faundler in the rootbeer grotto :) especially if he scaled up a little .I would also love to have some Goahmari plushies as well they are so cute .

/getting a dead horse up onto a soap box and beating on it

CAN WE PLEASE KEEP THE PURPLE COLLECTIBLE GLOWIES IN THE GREATER FAY GROTTO IN ONE AREA, PLEASE?

Seriously, it's a huge frickin' area, way bigger than any of the others by a magnitude of at least 4-8x, and now dotted here and there with glowing, purple, small flowers on the ground for the crafting quest (and we already had neon purple, er, lines, all over the large roots coming up through the ground), making it doubly impossible to find it at all in any good amount of time. When it's on the path from the entrance to the fairies, or right there by the main quest giver (the boss, with the "plant flower seeds" quest), that's one thing, or at least in that area. If it isn't, you're doomed, and will take 4-8x the amount of time looking for the blasted thing per character. Even with the "maximum" seven, that's still way more time than it should take, and if you have seven more toons on Test and/or a different area server than your main (US/non-US), then that'll add up fast. :-/

You shouldn't need to burn Gnomish Divining Rods (which are never cheap, and on low-population servers, non-existent on the Broker) every month just to find one thing, when it could be solved. :-/

    Uwk
finding that 50 toons compounds the issue, but still...anyone can have up to 21 :-/

Hmm I really didn't have any problems finding the shiny on all but one of my characters last night. That one turned out to be in some odd place, but for the most part, I found them somewhere along or near the path. Of course, you have five times the number of characters I have, so I can see how that would compound the problem. :D

I would love to see more rocks, in different sizes and shapes, that can be scaled very large to very small. Some of the rocks we have available now are very pretty, but you can only do so much when they are all pretty much the same size and shape. I'm talking rocks without the gems or mineral lumps in them.

Also love the idea others have posted, for more different types of insect plushies. More varieities of plants and succulents would be great as well.

And maybe SOE could do some more grotto style prestige homes too...even if they are sold on the marketplace. I'd love a desert theme, not Majdul style, but more nomadic in nature, with the sand dunes and such. Wouldn't even need to have a structure on it, though I suppose if they insist upon it, maybe a structure built into a limestone cliff side or something, to one side of the property, leaving the bulk of the property open for us to do what we want on it. This could even open up the opportunity for a new enchanted grotto...with an over-population of cobra's, and the quest -giver would give you a quest to capture so many of the cobra's for them to sell to those who collect exotic pets, or maybe for the pelts and the venom sacs to craft their wares with, or both.

I finally found it; it was indeed on the path, but at such an angle on an equally bright rock (and the more fool I, with my one Personal Torch on) that I had the devil's own time seeing it from any angle. The only thing that caught my eye was the floating question mark, and that barely. :-/

One thing I should remember: turn off all Torches in the Greater Fay one.

Well, we do have those, but they're kind of meat-loaf shaped, for the most part. :-/

Gotta love the "magic" boulder, though! :D

Heh! The gods know there are plenty of caves/underground things in Sinking Sands; wouldn't be too much of a stretch, though I wonder what sort of Fae critters they'd get to populate it...genie types?

And yeah, SMALL grotto homes would be ideal (as opposed to the ginormous "Personal Grotto" :-/); I can see the ones like the Darklight Woods and Nektulos ones as Small, the Antonica and EL ones as Medium or Large, and the Greater Fay one as Massive. ;->

Hehe Genie's work for me. I tend to agree...smaller homes are more ideal, as I'm discovering. The Kromzek Keep was very daunting to decorate, and I am sure many who enter mine probably lag pretty badly, due to trying to fill the space as much as possible. I am doing a small Majdul apartment now, and it seems to me that is quite sufficient, though I do prefer open ground, unbuilt upon flat areas, in which I can custom build my homes. Finding it is probably best to just build one area of a property or a home, and wherever it's possible, just close off sections of the home. I've already been building in my entire Mistmoore Crags Estate, so I'll just keep going with that one, but in the future, I think I'll just build up a room or two in my houses and close the rest off, or at the very least, limit how much I put into each room.

I had some grand idea's for one of my Ethernere Enclaves, but after the Kromzek Keep experience, have already decided to cut out a whole bunch of stuff from that idea. Personally, I think the size of the lower Island in that home is large enough an area for a prestige home, to build upon, as long as no pre-constructed structures are placed on it.

Oh, what is the 'magic' boulder you speak of Uwk?

I was just running around Pillars of Flame tonight, and was thinking the perfect prestige home would be the one small island where the Char'gin Citizens are at. Instead of having a house on the island, could have a small cave beneath it, and up top, the tall pillared rocks. Just leave a large enough flat area to custom build a home. It's located fairly close to the island the Djinn Sentinels are at, and could have been their home before the Char'gin barged in and took over. :D

Hmm....think I once asked about that on Holly Longdale's twitter(after AoM launched), and she just favorited my tweet without reply. Dunno if that was a small hint or something else.. maybe devs also like your idea but the plate is just full atm ;)

Btw, have you ever turned clustered/grouped/dense crystal formation ye get from Zygomyd grotto and buried them? Think they look pretty and come in handy in max size.

It might've started out as a bug, there were a lot of folks complaining about it, but there were also a lot of folks that LOVED the idea, so they kept it in the Grottoes and just changed the name slightly...I can't remember which Grotto it's from (if I weren't lazy and it wasn't 4 am, I'd look it up on EQ2 Furniture ;->), but basically, it's a very solid-looking boulder that has no collision detection, so you can walk right through it...or use it as the cover for a pit trap or something. ;->

EDIT: okay, okay, I'll stop being lazy...it's from the Nektulos Grotto (I love the quests in there; really quick and easy to do, since it's such a teeny place), and it's called.......Magical Moss Agate Stone (Mineral classification): "This moss covered agate stone is not the barrier it would seem!" It's kind of bluish-green, and indeed, isn't any kind of a barrier, which makes it immensely cool. :D

    Uwk
who'd never, ever misuse it in a house...really, honest... :D
  14. Merriel Well-Known Member

Rofl ahh that's cool. I had no idea such a thing existed. :D

No, actually I haven't tried that, but then I haven't attempted to build yet, what it is I want to build, using any of the grotto stuff. I just tried with those rough stone benches and tables that look like rocks. The flat side of the tables made it look awful though, so I gave up on that idea. This was before I knew even of the existence of the layout editor though.
  16. Uwkete-of-Crushbone Well-Known Member

There's also, of course, the Notepad method... ;->

The Grobb stuff with the writing on it looks--not great for natural stuff, and I'm not sure if it has any looks at all if you tip it upside down... ;->

    Uwk
  17. Merriel Well-Known Member

No, there is a table and bench that looks like natural stone, sort of, but the bottom side of the table is totally flat, so when using multiples of those and placing them manually, they don't look very natural, and it's a pain to place them where you want them as well. I didn't know about the notepad method either, when I had attempted it. :D

    Moonlight event wishes:
~A wider variety of evergreens, bigger leafy trees with big root systems. I like it when the tops of roots are sticking out of the ground.
    ~More vegetable garden items.
~Possibly a new prestige home that can be purchased with elemental tokens - a forest glade or something earthy and wooded.
    ~Stepping stones.
~Minature houses that have lit windows. ( toadstools, stumps, etc.. with Windows and doors)

Ok let's see if I can post this in the correct thread this time, hehe....
I was running around Greater Faydark and saw these cute little mushrooms, and thought they'd be a nice addition to MLE Grottos!
