XD I used to pretend to have adventures with that particular doctor before Amy Pond was a twinkle in her father's eye. =P

How about a hand-held daisy, something like clowns use, with a couple of options...one option squirts your character in the face with water, the other squirts a group member in the face with water. The option could be randomized so you never know which one is going to activate. Could be a primary weapon or a charm with an appearance to it.

Oh, another good one would be a hand-held buzzer, that activates when you go to shake a group members hand, and both characters begin to 'vibrate' from the buzzer. This one would be hidden in the hand of the wearer, so no appearance to it...just the animation it would activate. :D

Maybe a sound, too, like a zzzap or something! Steal it from Tinkerfest's sound library... :D

I have been working on a Halfling home, and noted some things in Enchanted Lands that would make nice craftables (have Waypoints):

Some similar things we have, like firewood (finally!) and I think that bridge (the one leading from EL to Rivervale?) was the inspiration for Jerry Dechant's Marketplace item, the Sturdy Short Rope Bridge. But yeah, I agree; there's tons of really cool items in EL that we could definitely use in our houses! :D

I must have missed the firewood! But how you get the firewood without a chopping block and axe I don't know! I did have pics of all these things but it made the post too big!

Argh! I hate it when it does that...when in doubt, just break it up into a couple of more posts, however many you need! :)

You might want to take a peek at the updated write-up I'd done of Mistal's Notepad Method; it could give you an idea of how many graphics you can cram in per post. ;->

Granted, none of them were very complicated; for all I know, that affects the total size of an image, even a JPeG.

(You do know how to post screenshots here, yes? Not everyone does [I certainly didn't, for the longest time]... Ask me how; I have the description down to a science! :D)

As for a chopping block, I often use the "butcher's block" item from a Nights of the Dead recipe book (I'd have to look it up to get the exact name; thank you Lera for EQ2 Furniture [ah, exact name: Butcher Block]!), but that already has a cleaver like from a kitchen (a really grody, suspicious kitchen, but still), with little room for a proper axe, so yeah, we could definitely use that. :)

And the specific firewood stack is a really high-level Carpy recipe, iirc; most folks I've seen use a bunch of the really primitive Troll chairs and stools that are much lower level to make...stacked. ;-> Kind of unsatisfactory, but it does do the job, if you have a way to hide the rest of the furniture piece. ;->

EDIT: My bad; the fireplace stack I'd seen isn't made, it's Plundered, gods dammit; it needs to be a recipe, you're right. X-P

EDIT: Y'know, thinking about some of that stuff, I'd say they'd fit in with a Harvest theme as well/instead of a Spring theme, so they might not be bad for a Nights of the Dead wishlist, hopefully getting in this year! :D

I'll have to look into that plunder instance.

I seem to recall that there is some sort of recipe book for axes to hang on the wall, have you come across this?

I just tried to post a single image copied from the screen using a snipping tool, and it did not allow it. Just too big.

Oh yes! However, except for the Public Test server (one of the perks we have there; we have a permanent NPC for it :D), it's a Guide Quest, which means it's not available all the time, but you get an entire recipe book FULL of awesome different axe styles (Decorating With Axes), which people use for just about everything but actual axes to hang on the wall. ;->

Lemme see if I can find that; brb... :)

EDIT: Ah, here we go: Axe and Ye Shall Receive. It's a fun quest, when you can find it offered (check out the link in the main Forum page to the Guide Quest pages; sadly, they're an entirely separate forum, but if you don't worry about posting comments, you won't need a separate login); it will vary, since the folks on the regular Live forums are all volunteers, with their own lives. ;->

Iirc, every main Carpy on my servers has the recipes. :)

Hmm...I'm not sure how that snipping tool stuff works, but the way I do it is this:

    1. Get a third-party image hosting sort of site. I like Deviant Art; they're free, and won't even charge 5 arms and 3 legs to post even your OWN images on anyone else's site, unlike some sites I could mention... The sad thing is, you cannot upload directly to this forum; I found that out the hard way long ago. X-P

    a. You should, ostensibly, be able to post at least a link here to an image you got right off the Internet and have it display, like something from Google Images. You'll probably have to have all sorts of attributions to the original author, but that's okay and should be done anyway. As long as you can do that View Image thing (see 4a below), it should be possible.

    2. Take an in-game screenshot. Open it and edit with your favorite flavor of image editing program; I use MS Paint still (lovely program, price is right [free!] ;->).

    3. Publish it in your third-party hosting site using their instructions. I strongly recommend that when you do this, you acknowledge somehow that "this is a screenshot from Everquest 2, owned by Daybreak Games. All rights reserved" etc., etc., etc., to keep the gods of lawyers happy. ;->

    4. What I do then, once it's published on DevArt:

    a. Right-click on the image; choose View Image from the drop-down list.
    b. Get a page with nothing but the image on a black background, and a URL with the actual location of the image at the top of the page. For those who do not know and may be reading along, the URL of this page is (don't click on it, it'd be redundant ;->):
    https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq...h-list-bristlebane-day.63/page-3#post-6655428
    c. Highlight and copy the URL of your published image.

    5. Return here to your open post, or open a post. Get to the place you want to insert your image, like in Word, and hit the li'l Insert/edit image icon, the one with the tree in the landscape. Paste the image URL in the resultant box and hit the green Insert button.

    6. Voila! Inserted image. :)

Ack! I've been playing almost 12 years and I have never seen this guide! Okay, I have found this Guide Forum of which you speak, and will check it from now on! Are there any other crafting recipes you know of from guide events?

So thanks to Uwk I have a new Deviantart account!

I have changed my second list, of objects from Rivervale, to include links to images, and one actual image.

Eeeeer...not off the top of my head, though I'd normally recommend EQ2 Furniture for that sort of thing. Sadly, like with most "shopping" (or at least hunting) online, it's like you have to know what you're looking for first to find it, and Lera has a TON of things listed under Recipes and Quest Starters/Rewards and so on. I don't think she's got a category specifically for Guide Quests (anyone who does know, hop in!)... :-/

I just found out about that one the hard way...even in Wiki, while there's a category for Guide Quests, it seems to be more on how to instruct the Guides to do their work. The Guide Quest forum is a wee bit coy; all the discussions there are pretty much in character. ;)

    /bow :D

I think the clothing set might be similar to crafters' duds we have available with enough faction clout with the various crafter societies and/or cities? It looks vaguely familiar... :-/

Though that hat is definitely a must-have; my main Provies would plotz for that! :D

Looking at the items now, there are a few that the devs might say could be replicated fairly well, at least, by similar things we have in the game already (the green padded chair and footstool remind me a lot of Briarwood items without being completely like them). For instance, we already have a roasting pig on a spit sort of thing as a recipe (Brewfest? I think so; it's all about the food and booze there ;->), and any number of barrels and half-barrels (though none as simply elegant as those in the screenshot). But I'm seeing (taking a peek over at DA) quite a few items that would be unique, such as the barn and house with the roofs being a continuation of the nearby hillside, or placeable anywhere the hobbits -- er, Halflings would grow their own roof lawn to remind them of home. :)

I'm just jazzed we have as many Building Blocks as we do to help with replicating some in-game stuff without breaking the House Item count "budget," especially with cabinetry (Bookshelves we get and Wardrobes we get, but ordinary kitchen storage? sigh), but it would still be awesome to be able to get these things as one item. The circular cooking tools over the stove with the ceiling chains would be a great thing for one item; Shanette's a wiz at replicating things like hanging pot racks, but they're usually rectangular or square...I think for a circular metal shape, you'd need to look at Tinkerfest for that, and the point is, it takes a lot of separate things to replicate it. Your Storage in Rivervale post on DA is awesome; I'd love shelves like that! :) We have something very similar to the Cupboards in Rivervale; can't think of the name of it now, and the doors don't open (siiggghhhh; it's tough enough convincing them to get us house doors that open [and we're glad to have them!] :-/). A multi-faced fireplace would be awesome; we could smish a few Hearths together, but it wouldn't be the same as a four-way opening hearth. Love the Chandelier and the Sconce! :D The two-wheel wagon-cart is awesome, too, as is the "mobile home." :) Yes, the Plow and Harrow would be awesome; I think nowadays we need to use way too many separate items to replicate such. And while we have a lot of various crop and garden plants, we don't actually have any maize (corn), which I think is a great failing. :-/ Looking at the Bridge, I was thinking of the rope one with the wooden slats that leads from the Enchanted Lands to Rivervale; that one in your screenshot is a lot sturdier. :)

It's sad; back when Players' Studio was still accepting submissions, there were quite a few talented folks who were "filling in the gaps" for items that we didn't have, but definitely needed. :-/ Fortunately it still exists to buy stuff from, but there's still things we'd love to see, somehow. :)

The clothing is *quite* similar but also different, but yes, it was the hat that really attracted my attention!

In your other post, one of the things about those halfling barrels is they look the same as the barrels in the racks, so would be more consistent. Those cupboards in Rivervale are indeed on the same model as the Enchanted Lands ones we can get the recipe for, but are more attractive. The door open variant would also be a nice change! I assume the devs have the code for all of this available, they probably just haven't taken a halfling around EL and RV for a while!
