Why would I buy a stack of Essentials?

    I am slowly working my way through woodworking. Every time I go to buy the next volume it gives me the option of buying one, a stack, or a specific quantity.

    I only need one I think. What is the purpose of buying more? Christmas presents?

    Probably because the merchant window is a generalized tool, and some merchants need to sell stacks. Although you might want a stack if you were going to put them in a guild repository for everyone (unlikely).

    Not just unlikely, but also extremely inadvisable. Last thing you want to do is fill your guild bank with dozens of items that are (1) extremely cheap, (2) readily available in unlimited quantities, and (3) required only once per character...if ever.
