Why does a US 1 hour hotfix take 2 hours for the Euros?

The bits have to cross the Atlantic. They get wet, and have to be dried off before they will stick to the hard drives.

(They also have to be converted from Imperial Bits to Metric Bits)

Aren't the servers in the Netherlands? A lot of distractions over there.

Because it takes them an additional hour to google translate the patch notes...

1 US minute = 2 Euro minutes It's the English to metric conversion.

Maybe it have taken longer at the US side, perhaps the guy who´s watching the clock did fall asleep, wake up and screams 1 hour fix :p

Urgh.... Again with the 2 hrs for euros, 1 for the US.

Ok, granted the last one was up after an hour, but why say 2 if you expect 1?

Can I at least get a reason *looks at Dexella* why?

    Because they love you less.

More seriously, I suspect it is a corporate culture thing where the US staff micromanages the EU staff as they implement the changes. And as we all know, having someone looking over your shoulder while breathing down your neck is (sarcasm) good (/sarcasm) for your work performance and makes things go ever so much faster.
