get the direct x I need for EQ2? Where should I put it? Thanks!

It showed it was being installed but last time I had to put it in a separate folder. Do you know what folder I should put it in?

try a repair install if you get that option but if the game runs, you have directx9
if the game crashes and tells you to get directx9, it doesnt really need it. it's just a generic error message

This might be true but when I installed EQ2 last time I had no choice but to add directx9.

yeah of course you need it but windows 10 should have it out of the box

It will look there first. Sometimes there is a security issue with the default location. Does this mean you got your new laptop?

what for? Even if refuse to use swap file, make two browsers work exclusively in ram-memory, and run two games simultaneously, then 8 GB is enough

Perhaps you’re right if you want to use streaming version for some other game with serious graphics.. hmm.. some say that ram never be many.. well.. it will probably become cheaper in few years..

Even playing the game on a Ram drive, there is almost zero improvement over 8GB
