When will items we buy with SC be placeable in guild halls?

There is no reason why these items can not be placed in guild halls, or the item expanders used in guild halls. I have bought several furniture items, the casino furniture to be specific, and was more then disappointed when I could not place it in my guild hall. Guild Halls especially have need for the item expanders that are sold on the marketplace as well. The same can be said for the building blocks, example: decorator used a bunch of city tokens to buy some white marble pieces from the Qeynos City Festival,, and at near completion of a project realizes they did not have enough white tiles to cover a room with. They go to the marketplace because the exact same items are sold there, picks up 2 more tiles that would complete the project, and finds out they can't be placed in a guild hall. Decorator has just wasted "real money" on items that can't be used as they were intended.

Please can we get this remedied soon?

I'd love the ability to place SC items in a GH too! I think a lot of the reasoning behind not allowing it was because some people transition from guild to guild a lot and issues arise when people who placed the RL money furniture want it back and cannot retrieve it etc... Personally, I think if someone chooses to place an item then it's taken at their own risk. It's a donation to a hall and should just remain.

Personally the only way i see them letting you place sc items in halls is if there was a retreaval command that brought up a list of heirloom, no-trade and SC items belonging to your toon, what guild halls they are in with an option to retrieve them. (they could recycle the house item retreaval interface)

That's definately an option and would be nice! I don't see them doing any of this at all... but it doesn't hurt to ask :D

There are a few SC items that can be placed in guild halls, but they are very small items. I have a Gygax type die in my guild hall that I bought off the marketplace. It was only worth 50 cents though, so maybe its only items under a certain value that can go in the halls.

I hope that SOE never makes purchased items placeable in guildhalls, personally. As a guild leader, I've on rare occasion had to deal with ******** people leaving the guild and wanting every stick of furniture that they've ever donated back. This is okay when it's a freestanding thing, but if we're talking about several components built into a large and elaborate structure, there's no getting them out without tearing down the pipe organ or wine bar or elaborate waterfall or whatever.

We do make clear to members that they are never required to put down anything in the GH, though when we do re-decorate we allow anyone in the guild who wants to play a chance at helping.

If the devs do break down and allow purchased items to be set down in guild halls, there needs to be three "are you sure?" screens, reminding the person that the donation is permanent and that they can't get it back, so be VERY sure, etc.

As others have said, the only way StationCash-bought furniture will be Guild Hall placeable is when there is a means for players to retrieve it later through some kind of interface.

You're talking about real money here, so the standard rules of "everything you place is a donation" don't apply.

Just make it no-trade so that when they place it then it's still their item.

Boy, I can sure see both sides of the coin here. Awesome is the Devs that can achieve.

And if I'm not able to access the guild hall to retrieve the item?

There is the potential for way too much drama to ensue if things turned sour between the member who put the item in there and the guild. I don't think the devs want to open that can of worms. As mentioned before, we're talking items that cost real-world money.

I have seen guilds go sour in a heartbeat. While I may not mind leaving special items behind (one-of-a-kind stuff like LoN items, etc) if I leave a guild freely and on good terms, I sure as heck am going to want those items back if guilds are going to be ridiculous jerks, especially if said items cost me real dollars.

Now GMs currently do have the power to grant you back things like LoN items if you /petition. All that is needed is a list of the specific items you want returned. I just don't think they want to have to gamble with SC items as well.

Personally I'm against SC items in halls unless there was a surefire way to get your items back should the worst happen.

I can see both sides as well. I have several toons in a large guild, and I have moved them around a lot. We constantly have people coming and going, and most times there is already so much drama involved, that adding the retrieval of SC items into that would only increase the drama ten fold. On the other side, my husband, sister, and I have a guild that's just the three of us, and there are items that I wish I could add into the hall, knowing that they would be safe and sound and add some character to the hall...

I can only see it being done with either a triplicate warning system, the ability to retrieve via another menu, or only able to be placed by the guild leader.
