When Warlocks get fixed ????

I'm reminded of the old Three Monkeys routine. If we pretend like we don't speak it, we don't hear it, or we don't read it, it ain't happening.

So you think things are going to be different this year? I appreciate your optimism.

I have a warlock in the 60's. It's been there for years as I mostly made it for the crafter side. I have to say reading this that I really don't want to hurry up it's adventure levels even though it was supposed to be next in line. Instead like an idiot, I leveled my Swashbuckler to 125 with the boost. Put on all the gear from Shattered Unrest I had saved up. It cannot survive more than 1 solo mob in the RoR overland areas. If Warlocks are worse, I guess it will never see the high levels I had hopes for...

Not optimistic as I fundamentally think the dev / management team doesn't know how to collaborate, you know, where they actually communicate upcoming changes so it can be properly tested or get feedback from the player base.

Speaking of warlocks, as a returning one are there any updated guides to locks in general, aa, spell use etc?

If you knew how to play warlock in CoE you know how to play it now.

Yeah right. Like they are listening to anyone on forums, and if you put anything vaguely negative in discord it just gets deleted. This has been going on for years and years.... I asked about Decimation multiple times on forums when it was both nerfed and de-AA'd, I directly asked the (then) community manager. Just silence

If you have access to beta, there are quite a bit of update notes to classes. Warlocks included.

We got some great changes to warlock on beta. It definitely will help us, but there is a lot of changes still needed especially to our prestige AA's before we can compete with other T1's for real.

If you are a warlock and have feedback or just want to help the warlocks out, please head over to the beta forum and voice your concern or just throw some likes here and there. I have been told the cut off date for changes to make it on launch will be this coming Monday, so we still have a two days to provide feedback and hopefully get it implemented, if not for launch then for the first update after the holidays.

Gotta make a last ditch effort push to finally get the Warlock sorted out!

I've been playing a warlock for ages. And feeding back on forums and being ignored because we have been neglected since the big cataclysm and decimation nerfs ages ago.

I've read the beta changes. Sure they are better than nothing but doesn't look like anything that will bring us anywhere near the T1 scouts. I've had about enough, if we are still crap next xpac, time to play another game (but I've said that before!). I've played 4 EQ2 classes so far, but I just can't be bothered putting the effort and money into another class now.

My Warlock, Quiarrah . . . on both Thurgadin and Skyfire are pretty weak. Everyone tells me Warlocks are strong but I dont see it. The only reason they are 125 is because I boosted both of them. That being said. . . I do see a difference between the 2 beccause of their races. Q on Thurgadin is a HIgh Elf. Q on Skyfire is an Areakyn. On Thurgadin I was able to hold my own in Svarni Expanse . . . Skyfire. . . not so much. I realize there will be race differences as there should be . . . but even without all the bells and whistles on my toons and armor (which by the way I don't have) I should be able to hold my own in a fight and not spend 45 minutes on one single mob.Shouldn't I? Or should I just scrap my Warlocks all together and run my Rangers and other toons?

All T1 dps classes have to spend gobs of money to remain competitive. If you are running around with a treasured merc / familiar / mount, and lesser infusions, no to mention gear, <ancient spells, no temps, scrolls, pots, flawless buffs, etc... it doesnt matter what t1 dps class you pick, it simply wont dps like the players that spend the money do.

I tell people all the time t1 dps is the most expensive archetype to play, because you are judged against all other t1 dps. So if you are not prepared to spend the money, dont try to play a t1 dps.

I don't P2W. I do, however, have all the crafting classes and make sure my characters are geared for the appropriate area, I also make sure they have the best food. I admit my AA's aren't up to raid status but all my chars can hold their own. From what I've seen/heard in the forums there is a fundamental nerf on the Warlocks that needs to be addressed.

How has the update helped so far?
  16. Smashey Well-Known Member

Better but still clunky and buggy.

So, has anyone used their xpac celestial or even quest reward GM for Decimation 3 yet? Is it worth it, or just a waste of time? I'm waiting for experts to come, but even that will be hard to test because old Decimation 2 even only ancient trumps the dps numbers on expert D3, only the cast time is fixed. And Appoc still benefits from AA, Decimation doesnt.

Any feedback on other spell changes. Too soon to know but as I've said before it looks underwhelming, only time will tell. Pets especially its hard to tell.

I would wait until the December 12 patch if you have any celestial for your warlock standing by.

It all depends on if they change decimation(lower cast time or increase damage), do something to our prestige tree or buff the damage of Cataclysm.
  19. OnlyMe Member

Did they say they were going to do any of that stuff? Decimation III is already reduced cast time isn't it?. Cataclysm needs a boost as its the basis of our epic spell ofc.
  20. Smashey Well-Known Member

They did not. But they stopped updating beta 2 weeks before launch and "people" are expecting some of the remaining class changes that didnt make beta to be part of the December 12th patch.

It might be complete BS though but we are talking 3 days at this point :D
