Interested to hear what merc. you may be using with your dirge. I currently have a berserker and finding it pretty good.
Shadowknight or Inquisitor. For the most part, the Shadowknight will allow you to kill things quicker while he keeps the aggro as well. Some heroic content may be sketchy and having a healer is advantageous, so then you want the Inquisitor. If you are mostly doing solo stuff with some dungeons, then the Shadowknight is hands down the best.
