Warlock - useless linked encounter spells

There is a spreadsheet on EQ2 flames Warlock forums that outline the efficiency of spells in "make your own encounter sort of way." It takes into account much testing with the limits of spells creeping and spreading and procs off of spell casts...
The point being it shows your greens scale in effectiveness with mob encounters and at 3 and above they are actually the most effective spells we have on linked encounters.

On non linked encounters anything the procs curse of darkness, netherrealm, and gift are high priority.. so therefore the criteria becomes what procs what and how much damage and how fast?
Meaning rift, cataclysm, blast, concussive blast, acid storm + other pets, those with gift of B, curse of dark, and neatherealm/eternal damnation become you most effective... in other other words,, highlighting your point of greens are less effective then all those.. in nonlinked - but also single targets are less effective.

@Apocalyptic .. unless you being dramatic or never faced an linked enocounter outside of battle grounds the smart way to do it is toggle it depending if it is linked or not... 2 mobs linked is ammunition enough to turn negative void off usually.. unless one really needs to die before the other. 30% or 60% is not greater then 100%. meaning apocalypse doing 50K with negative void and the prestige will do 80k (assuming 30% for void 30% for aa)... so 50K + 60% = 30k more damage.. thats 80k on one mob! wahoo.. (and some proc damage) ..... take off negative void now... you do 50k on mob1 and 50k on mob2... thats 100k AND procs on mob 1 hurt mob2 and procs on mob2 hurt mob 1.. so.. even on two mobs you can see how your greens instantly have a multiplictive effect on linked mobs not only by direct damage and dots but also from multiplicative procing.

All that being said... greens being blues only increases the multiplicative effect.. but as Mogrim mentioned in another thread; there seems to be some consideration of how to implement this without adding the handicap of warlocks not having control of what is being cast on (the green provides control over what mobs you hit, the aoe spread negates all that.. hehe). furthermore, how can this be implemented without warlocks > all when it comes to mobs greater then 2 and the abuses associated with aoe kite farming...

    -end wall text.

I'd also like to see blues get something else: to be centered around the target and not the caster. That way we can actually stand back when casting instead of having to get up close.

Cata and Rift are fine as they are being centered around the warlock. What should of been done ages ago, was they should of just given Warlocks a clickable toggle that changed the greens into AoT blue's like E'ci's is. That or duplicate spell versions for green and AoT blues. Given how dps is across the board class wise, it'd be safe to give the myth clicky its damage on the few spells it affects and just change it into the green/blue toggle. I doubt locks would be OP with having the dmg increase on them being passive. the only spell it'd really be noticable on is apoc and that will just help to make up for how often it gets removed from the mob.

Apocalypse needs to stay a dot instead the ice commet equivalent needs to be made out of Absolution or Dark nebula the abilities that are more and more becoming usless casts.

This is point that i have been tryin to bring up we have negative Void works fine in my opinion, spells need to be converted to TBAOE (Target based) not point blank PBAE it is not a good idea to have your ranged fighters up the mobs butt unless script calls for it. What we need is a aa switch to turn Greens and Blues into Target based dmg. We have a good way to aoe with the Aura/dumbfire pet combo but that is only useable with your blue ae fights. good groups in the new xpac you can pretty much pull the mobs and burn aoe abilities and if your tank is an sk or berserker you will never get complaints from them since they have more blue abilities than we do.
