Please reply here with any bugs and/or feedback regarding Vex Thal: Den of Shadows [Heroic I] and [Heroic II]. Thanks! -Chrol
Feedback from the Heroic II: Overall I was pleased with this zone actually requiring us to do stuff after blowing through the first zone. It was fun to have to do things on most mobs rather than just burning everything. The mobs have the same Shadow Aegis buff as the Herioc I zone, which I'm not sure if it is intentional or not but given its called "Shadow Aegis I" I thought maybe there was supposed to be a "Shadow Aegis II" for this zone with a higher resolve/adc mit/etc on it. On the first named, it's kind of difficult to spawn both adds and get them both under 25% without killing either of them, but it was doable. The bigger problem though was sometimes on spawning the second add it would do the blow itself up for not being below 25% health too soon after it spawned....should have a margin from when it spawns to when it can explode(just like 5-10 seconds would be enough). As another note, there is a lot of text coming through this fight, so it would be nice if the eruption text also included the 25% health thing. This is a minor thing and not entirely necessary, but would make it easier to catch what's going on while fighting the mob. (So where it says "a keeper of the dark fades, erupting the flames of darkness!" it would say something like "With it's health still above 25%, a keeper of the dark fades, erupting the flames of darkness!") Also, there were also times we did not get the begins to self destruct message before the eruption message.....so we were getting the eruption without the text that told us why it was happening(so having the 25% health thing on both would help wit that, or just changing something so the warning message always comes). The power drain on the curse combined with occasionally getting interrupted made it really difficult(and once impossible) to cure myself, but still was still able to be done. The damage from the mob was not high enough that me spamming curse cure on myself for 10ish seconds to cause any problems. Second named was a blast. I really enjoyed all the things going on here. (I really liked the thing with the pillars). Third named was easy peasy. For Gloomscale Ssyssyx, the cold blood curse hitting the tank is problematic. When it lands on the tank, the mob always heals unless you have someone else that can pull it away and tank it while the tank is clearing the curse. Otherwise we need a longer margin till the heal kicks in or a shorter duration on blood of luclin. The named was healing 15-20% just because the curse lands on the tank. In theory we could of had the tank go get blood of luclin on the warning message every time instead of waiting till the curse lands on them, but even then with how short the time between the warning and the curse landing it still would end up with the named healing 10-15%. Everyone else can stand 10 meters away, so the 5 seconds to get away is fine(I actually think 5 seconds is a prefect time on this; it requires people to be paying attention without being too strict).
Is it possible to make clicking on a portal, to move to next area, a group port? That is about the only thing I found overly annoying in Heroic I. Hope to try heroic II tomorrow or Friday.
agree the cold blood curse shouldn't affect the tank as its quite hard for a tank to no have aggro on the named to run from it while hopefully having people follow along to keep you healed. the healing on the named needs abit of a slow down it kinda healed alot and pretty fast for the curse thing which is kinda annoying. Since with the adds you pretty much have to keep them mezed cause spaming aoes non stop would kill em and cause you more hassle regrabing them while trying to have people movin 10m away to not healed named otherwise youd have a kinda a slow fight. perhaps add a immunity to aoes on the adds like zelmie spores if possible? Also if you could reduce the amount of trash in heroics and solo zones thatd be kinda nice or maybe lessen up the hp there really is alot of trash kinda too much considering how big the zone is and in terms of repeatability for time sake
Yeah that had been a problem before - tank has aggro but gets a curse that requires they move away from name. I think Loda Kai third name had that issue and it was fixed.
Lodaki was trapping the tank which was less of an issue...the tank can still get the moveaway and get behind the beast thing, but the named roots so that's not an issue. Regardless they do have ways of making dets not hit tanks,
I honestly like the adds as are, like if you don't want to mez them you don't have to but it means you'll have to keep pulling them when they respawn from being killed. It's a reasonable choice between two ways of doing it at this point. Making the adds not take aoe damage would make that fight a cakewalk, so I really hope that does not happen.(also you only need 2 of 3 sets pulled for the mob to take damage anyways so having to regrab em if you kill them really isn't a big deal). Also you do not have to move out of heal range to cure the curse, you can fight the mob close enough to the beam so people can stay in heal range. I personally did not feel like there was too much trash, the trash dies fast anyways(in both the solo and both herioc zones) and you can pull a bunch at a time so it's not that big a deal.
Will separate them into Shadow Aegis I and II. Will increase their health for all versions (was a request for solo as well). Will take a look at the messaging. It's pretty detailed already as far as what's being said and the reasons why. But with increasing the add health it may resolve this (not be so spammy). I will have it not choose her current target for Cold Blood. Thanks for the feedback!
That is the first name, not the 3rd one has I had mentioned. At point, on the 3rd name the tank got the curse to move 15' from the name - which you couldn't do as the tank because you had aggro. This was fixed. Any name that roots - I can joust or move out to be cured.
It would be nice to have a portal at the end of Heroic I to zone out. I didn't finish Heroic II so not sure if that one has a portal or not.
