I can't type worth a crap, and seems like nobody uses mics and headsets anymore. Talking is so much faster than typing especially during combat. I'm currently in a guild and am mostly a casual player. I only ever see 3 maybe 4 folks on in-game guild chat channel, but there's always like 25-30 guildies in-game, and those 3-4 people never actually talk. I was in a guild like 10 years ago and almost everybody would talk. It was fun times! yes, many guilds use discord especially to listen to raid/group leaders. Some guilds have a core group who always chat away. Start at the official eq2 discord, check the guilds LFM list or ask in game general chat. Suggest to start your own guild discord and invite your guildies. GL https://discord.gg/everquestii
The Devs also recently fixed the ingame voice chat. It works well, turn it on. No discord needed-talk right away at your guildies
