   They are upgrading the server OS to allow for the database changes that are currently in process. Eventually this should all lead to less lag, cross-server functionality, and other improvements. Kudos to the team for taking this stepped approach.

   I hope it can solve things, soon, since the growing levels of frustration on the General Tech forums doesn't bode well...keeping my fingers crossed for them!
