Welcome to the Traveler’s Haven. This spacious tavern and inn is located in the very heart of Norrath. It can be reached from many paths and many places. Upon entering, you'll find tricksters and gamblers, lords and ladies, actors and paupers.

The front door opens into a large circular room. Windows of all shapes open to reveal the scenery at each turn. Because of the tavern's odd location it seems that no two windows show exactly the same thing, a fact some attribute to magic.

The left side of this room is a large stage, where entertainment is provided free of charge by minstrels and other travelers. If you would like to take your turn playing for an audience, you need only climb the stairs and claim the spotlight for yourself. The majestic purple curtains and hardwood stage are brightly lit, in contrast to the rest of the tavern.

The center of the room is filled with small round tables. There are no corners, and candlelight flickers from every angle, casting eerie and wonderful shadows on everyone and everything. Half Elf waitresses clad in gold and green attire weave their way through the crowded room... but it seems there is always one chair left for whoever enters.

To the back of the round room is a bar. The bartender is a rather fat Ogre named Beerbelly. Ale and wine seem to flow freely, and coin purses seem bottomless. Beerbelly's thick accent can be heard above the noise of the crowded room, ordering the waitresses around, his intoxicating laugh nearly shaking the walls as he shares a mug of ale with nearly every drunkard on a bar stool.

Far to the right is a green-painted door, and beside this door sits a young redheaded mage at a desk. If you pay her the fee, she will enchant the door for you, creating a portal to any place and any time. Dragons, demons, ancient vaults filled with treasure unseen for ages, peaceful elven glades filled with laughter and song, anything you want, she can send you there. She can conjure an illusion of any time of your choice. "Anywhere for a price" is what she will say when you approach her. Choose carefully, as some have been rumored to be lost forever within these vivid illusions, choosing her fantasy over harsh reality.

The obvious owner of this mysterious and intriguing establishment is a former assassin with pure white hair and bronze skin. Her name is Daspien Baenar, but whispers of "Baenar the Bloody" float softly in her wake. She is clad in a blood-red coat and trousers, her gloved fingers showing no adornment. Her light hair frames her piercing blue eyes, a shade lighter and her eyes would be that of a madwoman, but as they are, her eyes are penetrating, commanding, glittering as she watches from a balcony above. There are no apparent stairs leading up to this loft, thus she can only be reached when she chooses to appear on the floor.

If you decide to enter the Traveler's Haven, you will find your evening unlike any other. Magic seeps through the floorboards and suspicion hangs heavily in the air. Every patron seems to want something and the illusion of safety is not as comforting as one would hope.

This is a place where anything can occur... and usually does.

((Open RP. Feel free to interact with the NPCs mentioned, EXCEPT for Daspien. She is my character, and I may choose to write as her at some point. The only thing I ask is don't kill NPCs, and DO have fun!))
