As far as I know, the Channeler has been a vital class to bring to raids from Vanilla to now.
Will the Channeler continue to be almost automatic requirement in Sent. Fate expansion? When does the Channeler drop off and come back to the pack of Healers?

As long as their main raid balancing is increasing auto attack damage channeler will always have a spot on the TLE server.

Around SF/DoV when tank's get enough reuse for their temps/enough temps to make channelers not as necessary.

If protection scaled on this server properly, and allowed tanks to get cap uncontested block without having shields with 3k protection or around 300% block chance, the server would make a lot more sense and not rely as heavily on channelers. Or if mobs swung faster instead of harder, but that's an argument since t5 that has been made and ignored in favor of making people pay to buy channelers insead of using the other healers and guarantee a spot in raid for them.

Same with mitigation, you can buff a tank up to 20k mitigation and still only see a difference in maybe 3-6k per auto attack swing by gaining another 8k mitigation.

Shame there is no real increase in tank strength sans 3-4 items in game at the moment.

The only fights in game at the moment you need a channeler on is ykesha, and munzok.

The rest are easily doable with just a templar/defiler. Although I would roll with mystic/channeler obviously.
