I recently betrayed my quester assassin over to ranger and started to look at the boards both here and at flames for tips on becoming a better player. I was a bit stunned over all the negitive threads on how terrible the class is. I am hoping to get some clairification on exactly how this effects casual questers like myself. Is the problems we have as a class an issue for soloers/questers or mainly for raiders? Can I still expect to do respectible dps in groups if I put the effort into learning the class and gear? If you like to solo, the Ranger is still very fun in places with lower mob populations and open areas. The problem rests almost entirely in the upper end raiding/groups and not in the solo. If you want to raid or be sought after by groups for upper end zones or get into raiding guilds then you should consider a different class than a ranger or any predator for that matter.
