Switching to Windowed mode drastically alters game settings

Hi,

I just purchased the new Alienware m15 laptop, when I play EQ2 in full screen mode everything looks GREAT, when I switch to Windowed mode all texts and boxes shrink to an unread-ably small size. I've tried every graphics configuration in the game and when I switch to Windowed mode the display switches to the "same" super small unusable size.

My hope is I have some setting in the wrong position? My desktop computer does not do this nor does my older Alienware laptop.

When you are in fullscreen mode, the game obeys whatever resolution you have set in the game options. When you are in windowed mode, it obeys the native resolution for your laptop. Apparently you have a very high resolution display.

Is there a way to have the game resolution to remain as set?

Not that I'm aware of, unfortunately.

I had this happening to me as well. This is what fixed it for me...

When in Windowed Mode click the "Maximize" button in upper right corner of window...it fixes the window to fill your screen and the resolution adjusts accordingly. See if that works for you too.
