Well it appears the change has occured on yesterdays patch and pets no longer pro gear or group buffs without comment from SoE its now live
Read this in the beta patch notes: Summoned pets can no longer trigger damage procs that apply to the group or raid that trigger from hostile actions. Also significant - for the better - changes to dumbfire pets. Has this slipped through to live ? It shouldn't be on live yet. Pets won't trigger GROUP PROCS. Dumbfires are supposed to be immune to indirect AOE and to do better damage, and supposedly Communion is going to be fixed so it doesn't hose Fire from Within.
It should not yet be on Live, if it was slipped. Bug it, it's not through testing. Dumbfires are basically becoming time-sensitive spike DPS and passive pets are taking more of a side-roll than a main-DPS roll.
well that's hilarious cos our conjuror was still destroying parses last night with procs equaling the top 5 outputs.
I just checked live and the pet is still proccing etox. So if it wasn't yesterday it has either changed, or someone doesn't know how to distinguish live from Beta.....
