I did get to see the house of Roberto Clemente today (pretty much a shrine). And I stood on the shore and put my hat over my heart as I looked in the direction where his plane crashed.

Psst...it's spelled "its" when you're referring to an object or critter that you don't know the gender of. If you can replace any suspect "its/it's" with "it is" and have it make sense, you need an apostrophe, since it's a contraction ("it's"). If you can replace it with "his" or "her," it's a possessive, not a contraction, and DOESN'T have an apostrophe. Great googly moogly, ABC News World Report got it wrong the other night (which does NOT make it acceptable)... X-P

Yep! Alcohol is a poison, so your body wants to dilute it and get it outta there, regardless of what the brain wants or thinks is cool. ;-> If you don't drink enough water along with it, your body will take it out of wherever it can get it, including your cells. Hence, pain. :-/

    Uwk
who's never had a painful hangover, regardless of what or how much was drunk the night before, but zombies ain't got nothin' on me the next day... "Braaaaiiiins? You...no...ask...me...drive...today..." (hopefully, even that won't be an issue on the Road Trip. Bring on the daiquiris [rum, not tequila; tequila = nasty]! :D)

That's okay, Schmet, the Kraken's keeping an eye out and making sure everyone's safe on the beach. Looks almost as cool as you, wearing his big ol' lifeguard vest. :D

I once drank, partially, a bottle of Ripple. The hangover was painful.

But I didn't feel too bad when someone else in the apartment told us they had drunk 85 cent a gallon wine in California, and were now drinking 85 cent a quart wine. He felt he had come up in the world.

Schmet is adorable in anything she wears.

I will never get the picture out of my head of her wearing that poncho and sombrero and leading that alpaca behind her carrying her acorn soup and sopas to a table.

    Good Morning ROAD TRIPPERS!!!!

Today, before I get started listing our itinerary, I thought I would give a brief history of our ROAD TRIPS, as we have some new faces and hopefully we can see some more before the ROAD TRIP is over.

The SPRING ROAD TRIP (by Airship) 2020 is actually only the second annual SPRING ROAD TRIP. Our ROAD TRIPS started last year because Kaitheel mentioned in the Test Forums that he was going on vacation and that he had to drive somewhere. He didn't say where he was going or anything so I did the only appropriate thing and *shouted* ROAD TRIP and we started piling into his car. Breanna didn't bring any clothes and someone got car sick all over her, Uwkete had a hairball. We grabbed Ttobey along the way and he ended up on the front passenger floor board under a blanket with Breanna and myself holding him down with our feet. We commandeered Niami, Prox, Pixi and Pijotre joined in and a few others and we kept asking where we were going and Kaitheel wouldnt say a word. Well it ended up that we stopped at a rest stop and Breanna got a couple of changes of clothes, Ttobey was fighting to escape, and we learned that our ROAD TRIP was ending in the long term parking lot at the airport!!! But that little jaunt inspired the SPRING ROAD TRIP 2019. Then we had the SUMMER ROAD TRIP 2019. The mini FALL ROAD TRIP 2019 and the mini WINTER ROAD TRIP 2019. All of the ROAD TRIPS after SPRING 2019 have had a theme. SUMMER 2019 was Space and Aliens, FALL 2019 was NoTD, and WINTER 2019 was FROSTFELL. And there you have it, the brief history of time of the ROAD TRIPS!!!!

Today, we will be doing more history and culture of Puerto Rico around San Juan and may get in some shopping!!! We love shopping!!!!

First we will be visiting La Fortaleza. A fortress completed in 1540 to secure the Island's defenses, it didn't. We will be taking a walking tour that includes a tour of the Governor's mansion. Next, we will be going to the Casa Museo Felisa Rincón de Gautier. This is a museum that was once the house of the first female mayor of San Juan. Next we have a change of pace with the Pablo Casals Museum. This museum is dedicated to the cellist Pablo Casal who lived the last 17 years of his life in San Juan.

Our next stop will be the Museo del Mar. This museum is dedicated to nautical life. At first I thought they were talking about fish and things but it is model ships and battle mock ups. From Christopher Columbus to the present and also houses the world's largest collection of life preserver's according to Guinness. Next we will be visiting the Museo de Historia, Antropología y Arte de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. This is the museum of anthropology housed on the campus of the University of Puerto Rico.

Soon it will be time for lunch so we will head to the Puerta de San Juan. This is 16 foot tall and 20 foot thick gated entrance to Old San Juan, it is very colorful and one of the most well known entrances. This entrance leads us to the Paseo De La Princesa. This is the most beautiful promenade in all of Puerto Rico, it is lined with street vendors, lamps, and fountains. Here is where we will have lunch at the Princesa Gastrobar.

Our first stop after lunch will be the La Casa del Libro. This library houses a world renowned collection of books from the 15th century, historical documents, printing presses, a nice shop, and more. Then we are off to the Capitol of Puerto Rico Building. This building was inaugurated in 1929 and looks a lot like the US Capitol. These conclude our history and culture exploration. The rest of our day can be used to explore Old San Juan. There are tons of shops, there are Farmer's Markets, Outlet Stores, Malls, Locally Made shops, there are a myriad of outdoor activities available, boat rentals, fishing, kayaking, ziplining, birding, river rafting, river tubing, cave tubing, bike rentals and more, all of these can be arranged right here in Old San Juan. The time delays are set so you have about 12 hours to explore Old San Juan before cocktail hour and dinner!!!

Cocktail hour is scheduled for 6 pm local time and dinner is scheduled for 7 pm local time at Greengos Caribbean Cantina in Old San Juan. There is also a Ben & Jerry's in the park in the central square where we can grab some ice cream after dinner!!!!!

There is Lote 23 which is a Gastro Park which has some nightlife available in Old San Juan if you are wanting to experience some of that after dinner or you can visit one of the local casinos.
