If it's live you should start it by either getting a notification when you enter Thudering Steppes or you get kidnapped when you get too close to the gnolls.
Right click the bone teleporter thing and there is an option that gives you the item to start the quest.
right click on a terraporter, without getting abducted.. examine at the shard it gives you enter the terraporter you need mainly to kill the end named mob to get the key open the chest on the pedistal and get the newer shard make sure you examine it IN that instance the actual entrance for paw is by coldwind point being mentored will not work for paw.
