It says players of all types, does that mean people without the latest expansion can partake?

May be they will add the shards from H3 to these new heroic zones...

It sucks that I probably won't have enough shards before the end of this expansion to upgrade the weapon when I easily was available to get the raid updates...worst design ever.

More than likely, no. The Toil & Trouble content update at the end of 2021 required the Reign of Shadows expansion to access despite being located in Loping Plains.

Well, I won't be heartbroken if not, but they need to change the wording if so. It might give people false hope. I like testing content but I was on the fence about this as I am not sure if I wouldn't be lost anyway since I haven't made it to current yet.

yea in the years past , after Daybreak took over, it was always stated that you can't get into the Beta anless you preorder the new expansion, AND your a member.
I used to do beta to see if I am interested in buying the package with the house, they also would give you a virtual tour so you could get an idea.

Do you have to wait until Tuesday, AFTER the update is done to do /beta ? I did it on Maj'dul a few times and it just says, Beta Copy logs are disabled for this world at the present time....

I assume they are manually turning them on at some point today, yeah. They're not active on any server afaik currently.

Yes we deffinetly need an other solution as farm us to death to get the 500 Shards // Stones for the Weapons ist a non accepable waste of time be forced to run Hardest Heroic Content so often, having in mind the commuity is smal and you still need skilled and good equiped players.

Cant be the plan to run H3 1000 times beside the other stuff which need to be done, like Raid // Groupplay // Contested // Harvesting etc.

patch the Stones in to Kepri Vendor or Status Vendor in Radj Dur for a Amount of normal Coins or for a lesser number of Miracula Coins so we have a use for those Currency actually we are flooded with like expas before and thier is no sencefull use for.

And to be honest i have had 3 of these Weapons on the status to need the 2 T3 Raidboss things the Quest only serves 2 Uptdate things the Fang and the Book one Time why this quest is an item updated mechanic why dont make all weapons you have on status to update level up ????. In case i chose a 1h // 2h // 2ndary or Ranged and the next Expa these wepons are surely will have a use i am NAILD to one Weapon which i cant change to one which fits much better to the future running Setups.

It is 20-30 runs and can be done every 18 hours and their are 5 zones and can be done in under a week. Stop the exageration! It is perfectly fair and just requires a little (very little) work especially for a best in slot.

That may be what you say, but basically the entire effort in the addon is much too high.

Not everyone has perfect and completely overpowered groups with always available players who have no weaknesses.

All of this may be doable, but the effort is prohibitive for players with a normal weekly time slot.

The unemployed who can play all day, who also have a whole group of such players can do well is undisputed. The only question is what is all the content and all the items for, if it only reaches the players who have a fixed group and can afford this massive investment of time.

It makes no sense to exclude most players from completing the content and entire addons due to the requirements for a special group setup and, in addition, a very high level of gaming ability.

The game is for the masses of all EQ2 players and not just for the 30 to 40 players who can currently achieve as much as possible in the addon.

This applies to the Epic Spells as well as these weapons, the neck parts from the purple contested collection as well as the new item from the two new Inis that are coming soon.

But in the end we will see a decision by the developers and also by the players, whether they will continue playing in the next addon when the game is only made for a few more.

I would estimate from my circle of acquaintances that with this addon EQ2 something has lost 40% to 50% of its active players due to the pointlessly high effort in all things.

I would tend to agree. The focus needs to be on the 1-125 experience, not new 125 content. (or 130 content if the cap goes up again)

Focusing on L1-124 content is largely a waste of their effort. That is such a low part of the paying populace that it may as well be non-existant, fiscally.

The money comes from the people doing the top-end content, or we'd have seen more low level expansions.

I would hate to lose the Level 1-124 populace. I think the game could survive without the end game heroic and raider populace but it would die without the 1-124 populace that you say may as well be non-existant fiscally. You seem to forget, TLE is in that group and no one can deny that right now, Varsoon is the most populated server of them all. I see maybe a 50/50 mix most nights when I do various /who on my server. I think they could go into a maintenance mode and survive with the non-existant fiscally populace as you see them. They would never survive the months of breaks while waiting on the next expansion that the end game players take.

Youre not getting "new" content on a TLE. Its recycled.
